Marro Evolution

The marro began with a hive, the hive gave birth to drone larvae, which grew, discarding a protective excoskeleton, and becoming the conventional marro drones, the marro drones learn to kill, and follow the will of the hive, the drone's DNA slowly evolves, eventually they become marro warriors, which fight for some time, before learning and becoming either stingers, or drudge, after the marros reach this stage in life they have a civil war that determines the hivelord, after such the process repeats.

This is my theory on the marro lifecycle.

And just exactly how long does this take?

If that was the case then you would not replace any previously destroyed Marro when using the hive, but rather would just add another Drone to the board.

Bloody the Marro Stinger knows what's in an order marker Bloody the Marro Stinger knows what's in an order marker Bloody the Marro Stinger knows what's in an order marker
Here's mine.
Hive-->Marro Drone-->Marro Drudge-->Marro Warriors.
-->Marro Stinger-->Marro Cavalry.
From here, Warlords are assigned.
Marro Warriors-->Armor Warlord (Ne-Gok-Sa).
Marro Cavalry-->Cavalry Warlord (Me-Burq-Sa).
That is normally the end. However, if a new Hivelord need be assigned, then the best Warlord is promoted to a Hivelord.
Armor Warlord-->Mutant Rider Hivelord(Tor-Kul-Na).
Cavalry Warlord-->Bone Dragon Hivelord(Su-Bak-Na).
So it ends up looking like this:
Hive-->Marro Drone-->Marro Drudge-->Marro Warriors-->Armor Warlord (promotion)-->Mutant Rider Hivelord.
-->Marro Stinger-->Marro Cavalry-->Cavalry Warlord(promotion)-->Bone Dragon Hivelord.
Also, if nessecary, in combat, Marro low ranking soilders can store themselves into the hive as eggs.

In my opinion, Marro Warriors are higher ranking than either the Drudge or Stingers, having achieved partial sentience. Still, if they were to recieve an order from a higher up, they would do it. The Warlords command the army and defense areas, and the Hivelords command the economy and breeding.

In my opinion the marro warriors are low ranking and have the partial sentience do to the fact that free will cannot be destroyed, thus all marros have partial sentience, except for the hivelord, who is sentient as permitted by his home hive.

The Marro came before the hives, and they found out they couldn't reproduce, so seeking a way to reproduce, they built the Hives using a cross between structure building and Bioligical plant growing. That's how I see it.

I disagree that free will cannot be destroyed. The Marro traded their free will to make the hives so they could re access reproducing. The Hivelords are actively seeking a way to remove that limit, but it will be quite some time before they actually do.

Correct, but the hive was so powerful it quickly took over the marro's minds, before, in the pre-hive era they had complete free will, the hive produced marros killed the originals.

No that is Impossible, free will can never be completely destroyed, just almost destroyed, the hives fear that oneday a revolt might occur do to this fact.

First off, on Earth, by normal means, it is impossible to erase free will, yes. But who's to say that the Marro found the key to eliminating sentience, making beings abide to their every will? Even the Warlords use that anti-sentience manuever in their mindshackles.
Also, the Hives work on one goal and one goal only- complete destruction of every being in the universe. Betraying another destroys that goal, thus they don't do it.
