Kanata Wal-Mart has HS!!!

I thought it would never happen. TRU has done such a miserable job of stocking HS and only American Wal-Marts carried it, but today I stepped into the board game aisle and there she be! $39.99 for the Master Set (they replaced the original dice). They only have the Master set...I have my fingers crossed for some expansions.

thats how they all started. Just a MS. eventually, they make space for expansions. Just keep your fingers crossed, and keep an eye out.

This is hot hot news. I am happy I read this. Wal-Mart will likely do a better job of stocking the game than Toys R Us. Thanks for the update. I will check Wal-Mart in Regina.

It's a win-win. If they stock the game, they'll do well and have lower prices. If they don't stock it, then I don't have to set foot in their hellish stores. Sorry. Really dislike the place. Ever since they ruined a roll of film, and insisted that I pay for it.

Small shops do usually tend to sell our beloved game at an exorbitant price. Usually without expansions.

Solid Booooos all 'round.

I called my local Wal-Mart (Darn you, Regina), and the toy department, however helpfully, said they'd never heard of it. My kingdom for some consistency!

I was just in a Walmart in Oakville, Ontario and happened to check out the discount toy area in the back of the store. There were about 10 boxes of the Master Set priced at $39.99. I bought one. This is the first time I've seen Heroscape in any Canadian Walmart.

PS- what the heck is Kanata?

Kanata was amalgamated into Ottawa and is a suburb east of it. Most people still call it Kanata and not Ottawa.

Kanata is where the Ottawa Senators play. Also the location of the Corel centre. Those two facts are the same fact. You're welcome.

I saw the Barenaked Ladies play there a few years back. We were searched for Kraft Dinner at the door. Honestly.

Still nothing at the Wal Marts here, but I may have to physically go into the store to look. I don't think telephoning them is doing the jorb.

For those who care, the Regina wal-mart is now "carrying" heroscape.

Okay, it was pretty sad. They didn't even have shelf space proper for the two master sets that were there. They were kind of jammed in at the top, with the overstock of the da vinci code board game, with no price, nothing. Having said that, I went and found the Wal-Mart drone, and asked him about Heroscape, and he said "never heard of it...do we have that?" So, I took him over there, and physically showed him what I was talking about . To that end, he said that in August, they'd be restocking for Christmas, and should get more stock in then. The bottom line, and what I found interesting is that

He got the stock in because people have been asking for it.

The squeaky wheel, once again, gets the grease. Keep calling using funny voices, asking for roads and trees, and we might get our way. One of these days. Still, nice to see Canada picking up. Yay us.

I don't know how widespread it will be across the chain, but the San Diego Wal-Mart today had (and the past tense is definitely correct here) two sets of RTTFF marked down to $15.00...
