I was grabbin' something quick at Target today and took a quick stroll past the Boardgame section. I thought i'd check just in case the new Thaelenks Tundra or Raknars Vision had arrived. I looked from left to right starting w/ the Master Set when i noticed the price below it: $9.98. Now i thought this might have been mistagged but it said Hero Set on the Label so maybe i was misplaced. The only other 2 prices had 11.99 and 9.99 so it wasn't outta' place. Well long story short i played 'dumbfounded' when i went to the register and they had to do a price check before they ok'd the $9.98. So always, ALWAYS check the shelf tags because you just never know when you'll get a break. The really nize thing about this is i'm going to be demo-ing Heroscape and Pitch Car and one of our Boardgaming Conventions next month and this 4th set will come in handy.

I went to my local Target tonight and they no longer have shelf labels for the large expansions. They only had one master set, so it appears that my local store will stop carrying Heroscape.

I think that day was a long time ago. My feeling is that Heroscape might be a seasonal holiday stock item instead of a regular item at WM here in the future.....

It is sad to see it treated as it is right now.

my target has master set for 40, hero set(small expansion above the tag) for 10. I could try the play dumb thing, but I'm not sure I'm capable.

I am not quite so Doom and Gloom on this but if it happens it happens. I will buy all I can and then just shop online. If it is the end of brick and mortar then I say the Aug 13th rollover at wal-Mart like I mentioned on my other thread is the day to get there. One last hurrah so to speak.

I'm curious to know what the ratio of sales is for Online to BnM.

That and I bet the "Suits" feel they still reach more people in a store isle vs. cyberspace.
