I have been working on doing a TMNT setting for Heroscape after seeing the fantastic work done by everyone here in the Comic Hero Custom Creations Forums.

Here are my most up to date customs (9/08/07)

Clever abilities. The Tactile leadership would need some re-wording as well as the protector. Good ideas but you need to refine them. Do the turtles really rate the Super Strength symbol?

Oh I really like the Tactile Leadership ability. And Protector is a good ability. He is going to be fairly low costed for a Super. I say a 250 points highest. He has same stats as Charos and Counterstrike but lacks flying. I think Protector and Tactile Leadership make up for this plus extra, but no way is he more than 250.

As for a figure I saw some turtle figures in another thread, but I can't find him at the moment.

I had some TMNT up, but I took them down along with a *lot* of other stuff a bit ago to clean the slate to convert everything to the newly available Marvel Templates.
That said, yours is quite different than mine, and I think more creative, so I like it a lot.
I'd agree that the first two powers need a bit of rewording, and that you should axe the "S," as he's not really that strong from what I know of him.
Hi, I'd say that 250 is a bit high (I realize that was your max for him). Yes, Protector and Tactile Leadership more than make up for the flying, but all the base stats are the same as Charos, they both have counterstrike, and, more importantly, Charos has 9 life to Leo's 5. That's a big difference for survivability. I'd say Leo's probably worth about 220, or maybe even 210.
I'd consider making his species Mutant and his class Ninja Turtle instead of Leader. Things aren't exactly born Ninjas. :P
A quick question on Tactile Leadership - I don't quite understand your intent. Is it that Leonardo can reallocate any unused Order Markers on his card, or on any card in his army?

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I had a feeling I would need to reword the abilities... I can never get them to sound Heroscapey enough

I added the Superstrength icon to his card because he would avoid falling damage as he is ninja... I thought I could get away with it. But I will take it off

The Tactile Leader ability lets Leonardo reallocate any unused order markers that are on any of his army cards. This is to reflect his split second decisions made during a fight.

I agree with changing him to Mutant and then Ninja Turtle.

Thanks for the help with the costing. 210-220 sounds like a good power level. I'm happy with that. I'll playtest as well of course.

Duh! I forgot to look at life. Yea definately drop the 250 max to a 225 max. Also I missed the super strength which I agree should be taken out.

Tactile Leadership should be worded something like this: "After taking a turn with Leonardo, you may rearrange all unused order markers on all army cards you control."

Eh I still don't like that wording, but I can't think of anything better at the moment.

ok, well there are better people at the official wording than I, but I'm up, and I have interest in the character, so I'll take a stab at it.

TACTILE LEADERSHIP
After taking a turn with Leonardo, you may move any unused Order Makers on any Army Card you control to any other Army Card you control.

I'd consider this renaming for the second power, to make it a bit more specific to who he's protecting.

TURTLE PROTECTOR
If another Ninja Turtle figure you control is wounded by an attack, Leonardo must immediately move 5 spaces in the direction of the attacking figure. If Leonardo ends this move adjacent to the attacking figure, he may add 2 dice to his normal attack, and immediately attack the figure.

Agreed. Superstrength will come off the card.

I do like both of those wordings batman, I think they sound more official than what I wrote. (i was just typing almost exactly what hihhihi typed when i saw your post pop up.)

I will change it and repost the file. Then I will get started on the cards for the other 3. I have the stats and abilities in front of me, but didn't just want to post it in text form.

The problem here is that the word "any" is used on official cards to signify "one." I see two options here

That looks goos, the only question would come up on "5 spaces in the direction of the attacking figure." The word "direction" could be loosly interpreted and used to move Leonardo to a more dangerous threat. Also if the species "Ninja Turtle" is change it hast to be changed in this power as well. If if becomes "Mutant" there could be a problem since he doesn't protect all mutants.

Good changes on the Tactile Leadership, Hi. I agree with the first one you posted the most. It's a tough one to get just right.
You're right about the 5 spaces thing, but I couldn't think of any way to word it better.
And Ninja Turtle doesn't have to be changed to Mutant at all. He just has to make sure Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael all have the Class of Ninja Turtle as well.

Fair call on both accounts. I will change the text of Tactile Leadership from any to all and then how is this for the wording of Protector

Protector (NINJA TURTLE)
If another Ninja Turtle figure you control is wounded by an attack, Leonardo must immediately move 5 spaces towards the attacking figure taking the shortest possible path. If Leonardo ends this move adjacent to the attacking figure, he may add 2 dice to his normal attack, and immediately attack the figure.

That way if someone else had protector you can specify in the brackets. This wording also suggests that Leonardo is rushing as fast as he can to protect his brothers so if that means jumping off a 10 height cliff (thus taking fall damage) to do it, so be it.

What do you guys think??

I think the shortest possible path works well. And the () in the title does the trick as well. A fun power! I'll have to think if it fits in with any of the DC customs I've got going.
