Well met!

Or maybe divide the attacker's attack by the defender's defense or something, I don't know. I think I'll stick with the real way for now, though.

It could be done with non-20-sider attacks being:
Total Offense - Total Defense = Total Number of Wounds Applied,
with 20-sider powers being applied on a per game basis for each result based on the number of possible rolls. For instance, Kee-Mo-Shi would have 2 automatic Mindshackles per game (19 and 20). Cyprien's Chilling Touch would give him 1 automatic application of 6 wounds (20), 2 of 3 wounds (18-19), 2 of 2 wounds, and 3 of 1 wound (13-15). Braxas' Poisonous Acid Breath would give her 13 applications of 1 wound (8+ for squaddies), and 4 automatic kills (17+ for heroes). The same would apply to saves on defense, which would be applied after a non-D20 attack. Thus, the Drow have 6 saves (16-20) useable on any terrain other than Dungeon and Shadow, plus 9 (adding 3 to the roll) additional saves good only on Dungeon tiles, plus 12 (adding 6 to the roll) additional saves good only on Shadow. Also, Vipers would have 5 Frenzies per game (16-20), 6 with the addition of the Venoc Warlord.
