I saw that - thanks! I oftentimes forget to add my tourneys to the Event calendar. I'm not sure how many scapers actually look at it, but it can't hurt for it to be there.

Interesting Mercenary choices. With all of your Mercs only taking up one hex, you have some incentive to draft the big swarm armies. I also like X17 quite a bit since a lot of people might be going with Cyprien as their 150 Point Merc, and he has synergy with the Tron army that's 24 hexes already.

You can borrow my X17 as long as no one uses him in an army. It hasn't happened yet, but it could.

Ok, thanks guys. I've never even seen a Major X17, but I went on the Hasbro HeroScape site and looked at his specials and stats, and they sound really good.

Update:

I added the Arrow Grut army to the list. I also added lefton4ya's Heavy Grut army, except I swapped Me-Burq-Sa for Marcu Esenwein because:

1) MBS is already used in the Grok army and
2) Marcu was free and has nice synergy with Ornak

I also added this Sacred Band army to get up to 48 total:

$10 - 400, 16 hexes

With 23 players (the 19 definites + 4 probables), 48 armies is perfect. I will bring an extra army or 2 with me just in case (probably an EI army and some hodgepodge of Utgar heroes with Torin).

4 more items of business left before Saturday:

1) We probably need one more map. There are 11 in the pool which is fine for 23 players, but if we get that extra player we'll need one more. My current plan is to throw a map together on the day of with my extra terrain, which is possible. I could also have Brad bring a master set and build either Turret Rocks or Overseer again (depending on which MS he brings). Also, as an aside, I played a game on Decline of Sight and 2 games on Dune Buggy yesterday and all went well. Dune Buggy was especially fun to play on.

2) I've been kicking around moving some units around in the armies to help out some of the bottom ones a bit. I'm all for parity between the strength of the armies in the auction, but there are a couple that are just plain gonna get slaughtered, and I don't want someone to get stuck with that, even if they do get to hire a Merc. Here's what I've been kicking around, still preserving the themes, that should help a little bit - anyone agree / disagree?

- swap DW7K and Dumutef Guard for Deathreavers x3 in One and Done
- swap a squad of Templar Knights for the Kozuke Samurai in CHAAARGE!
- swap Raelin for Concan in Raelin's Escort (the name would have to change I guess...), and then swap Erevan and Sharwin for Raelin and Syvarris in Double Date

I fear for the Troll army too, but I don't really have any ideas for it...

3) Here's an updated list of figures I need someone else to bring. I haven't talked to phantazm about it yet, so this may change one more time as I expect him to bring a lot of this stuff (no army cards needed unless I say so):

While this is still super-thematic, I'm really afraid that it's just going to get slaughtered by anything. The Kozuke and Tarn instead of Dupuis isn't really the strongest, but it at least gives it some more multiple attacks that aren't coming from Templar, and it's cheaper. Personally, I think Templar x3 + Tarn is even stronger than this version...

I like this one. Kinda sucks that you have to pay $20 extra for Deathwalkers, but I suppose I don't mind there being a fee attached to the only Deathreaver army. Plus, it helps to have 3 attacking cards when all of them are fragile, and this picks up on the 9K + Zettian synergy. I'd be in favor of this change.

Ugh so aggravating. This tourney looks like a lot of fun.

Funny, KC, how every tourney you beat down on my dad but I've never fought you and been able to beat you down. Plus you wont have to be outbid for Cyprian. Cyprian is my man and i will never let anyone else get him if I were there. I dont like his teamates though. I would much rather put some Krav with him.
