The battle lasted two days, with things looking rather simple for the soulborgs. However, I made a classic blunder: I neglected to take the high ground. Instead, I charged directly into the pass on the opposite side of the water with Deathwalker, the warden and the guards, while my sister came from the other side with everything she could muster.

Cyprien grabbed the glyph of Dagmar, and was able to hold initiative for two rounds before being pounded by the guards. Seeing that Cyprien could do nothing against the soulborgs, my sister hopped him over the ridge to snag the glyph of Valda. (The movement bonus did her little good, as all her units were in the choke point on the other side of the ridge.) Sadly for Cyprien, the agents were waiting on the other side of the cliffs, and he met a quick death. So ended day one.

I retuned with the confidence that my soulborgs could stand up well to the rest of my sister's army, and the second day started well. While my agents held the glyph of Ivor and came around from the right, my guards where able to to pick off the cavalry and Deathwalker wreaked havoc upon the vikings.

Suddenly, Raelin appeared out of nowhere, bashed the warden's skull in and then advanced upon the agents. The soulborgs and vikings finally fought to a standstill while the agents took pot shots at Raelin. Bleeding heavily, Raelin made it to the glyph of Kelda, healed herself and proceeded to the glyph of Erland. The agents continued to fire upon Raelin, scoring several hits, but in a stunning turn of events Raelin summoned Deathwalker, gave him his due and then turned to skewer the agents one by one.

Only one guard was left to fight off the advancing viking hoard. Gun erect, he pumped lead till he could shoot no more and fell beneath the vikings blows.
