These two definitely seem like they'd make an iconic pair... nice survivability and mixture of the character's powers on this one.

Thank you all for participating in the first round of Community Prompts! So much creativity was shown and a great amount of responses.

With that, we are on to a new round for the next two weeks... so here is the new prompt:

Prompt for February 11th 2024

Theme: The prompt for this period is Elemental but don't limit yourself to the standard four (fire, water, earth, air)! You can take the Helenic angle, or you can look to other cultures for their ideas on elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water are the chinese zodiac elements for instance), or you can go to the periodic table if you're feeling extra science-y.

Big elementals, small elementals, elementals with names, creatures made of an element (VC's Phoenix comes to mind) or something that works with them. Let's see what your ideas are.

WOUNDED ROAR
When Baihu receives one or more wounds from a normal or special attack but is not destroyed, you must immediately roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 13 or higher, all figures within 2 spaces of Baihu receive 1 wound.

TITANIUM CLAW SWIPE SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 1, Attack 4
Choose a figure to attack. You may also choose up to two other figures adjacent to the targeted figure to be affected by Titanium Claw Swipe Special Attack. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls 2 fewer defense dice, and rolls them separately.

FLYING
When counting spaces for Baihu's movement, ignore elevations. Baihu may fly over water without stopping, pass over figures without becoming engaged, and fly over obstacles such as ruins. When Baihu starts to fly, if he is engaged he will take any leaving engagement attacks.

Spreading Shadow
At the start of the game, place 1 shadow tile on a Shadow Elemental army card for each Shadow Elemental in your army. After moving and before attacking with a Shadow Elemental, if that Shadow Elemental is on an empty land space, you may place a shadow tile from its Army Card onto the space it occupies if the shadow tile fits normally onto that space.

Shadow Mastery
While a Shadow Elemental is on a shadow space, add 1 to its Attack and Defense.

Phantom Walk
Shadow Elementals can move through all figures and are never attacked when leaving an engagement.

The Dawn Raiders are the greatest cultural mixing pot in all of Valhalla. Techniques from disparate times or cultures are integrated together into something they never could have concocted alone. So, one enterprising raider wondered, what happens if you mix Torilian construct composition with the traditional elements of Earth's Far East? You get a wood elemental, of course. And what happens when you mix that wood elemental with the storage area that every ship needs?

BACKBLAST
When a Powderkeg Elemental is destroyed by wounds from an attack, inflict all excess wounds to one attacking figure.

BREACHING THROW SPECIAL ATTACK
Range Special. Lob 8. Attack 3.
Instead of attacking normally with a non-small figure that is adjacent to a Powderkeg Elemental you control, it may use Breaching Throw. Destroy that Powderkeg Elemental, then choose a figure to attack within 4 spaces of the attacking figure. No clear line of sight is needed. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by Breaching Throw. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately.


Barrel go BOOM! Whether you use them with other Elementals or with other Pirates, you have synergy options that will help these slow little blighters get into position, and bonding that can throw them around on a moment's notice. Kind of curious that Kurrok synergizes with Small Elementals, but we've never had any of those before, isn't it?


...And yes, it lacks the usual Construct immunities. Wood is organic.

This is actually kind of amazing....like, I wanna buy the minis for this just because of how cool this design is!

Think a speedster glass cannon with a special attack could be an interesting dynamic in a Kurrok build. Thunderclap could be quite strong if it weren't for the abysmal survivability.

Have been busy for a second but WOW oh WOW Heroscapers you do not dissappoint!

- Baihu is a cool miniature and has some interesting things going on. I just glanced briefly at what the mythical creature is supposed to be. I'm wondering if the first power would benefit from a name change or some sort of descriptive adjective to the roar to connect it more with an elemental theme.

- Powderkeg elemental is just plain wicked I love it. I'm wondering if backblast needs to trigger on adjacent figures? The theme is definitely present, I'm just not sure if Syvarrius should get exploded from 9 spaces away lol. Super creative mechanics and again, love this miniature. Well done.

- Ancient Amethyst, some really fun stuff happening. This is one of those designs that feels like it wants a cycle... like a few big elementals in its' price range that have some adjacent designs. Definitely appreciate how it is classified as a monarch, opens up some cool stuff potentially and doesn't let talingual just consider it an auto-include. Fun concepts all around. Neat use of additional drafting mechanics to bolster a design.

- Oof big theme miss... this is a lightning elemental, not a thunder elemental j/k. Really interesting, small (pricewise) elemental here. Very dangerous to your own army but the concept is so cool. Love the potential this has... curious though. It is intentional that it hits the whole board except for those things that are close to it? Or was the intention to have it it attack things 4 spaces or closer? Eitherway, looks like a piece that would be fun to puzzle out the best way to use.
