Seattle NHSD TOURNAMENT 10/17/09

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
NHSD tournament on the 17th of October @ Third Place Books - Lake Forest Park. Tournament will start at 2:30 (drafting) if you would like to arrive early to help set up please do! We have the room starting from 1 pm.

We are tweaking the tournament rules. They will not be posted before the tournament.

Cornpuff will be creating the armies for the day of draft. We have PLENTY of maps and figures for each army. DO NOT BRING YOUR FIGURES OR TERRIAN!!
FYI, there will be only ONE Marvel unit being utilized during the tournament in order to make 1 more pairing. I will not tell you who they are, or who they are being paired with. you will have to wait and see!

I think senario based rounds is the current going rate.

HOORAY! We have tournament details!!!! Kai will be posting the rules, and we are working on AWESOME prize support and game stuff (you'll have to attend to see it all!)

Tournament Structure:
There will be three preliminary rounds for this event, with the three highest scoring players advancing to a Final round to determine tournament ranking (1st, 2nd, 3rd place). Remaining players will play a fourth round to better their scores to determine 4th place ranking.
Each round of the tournament will be 8 turns.

Senario:
We had some issues with the senario and rules and they will be available at the tournament. SORRY!


Army Construction:
Each player will field a 350-point Army in each round of the tournament. With a total of 1000-1100 overall army.
Each round of the tournament must include at least one Unique Hero and at least one Squad unit (though it can be another Unique or a Common squad unit) in each round. However, the composition of the Army changes with each round – as Unique Figures can only be used in one of the three preliminary rounds.
For example, you used Sir Gilbert (Unique Hero) in the first round of tournament and so he cannot be in your Army for rounds 2 or 3. You also had the Knights of Weston, but as a Common Squad they may be used in all three rounds.
Additionally, you cannot use more than 3 Units of a Common Squad or Common Hero in a single round of the tournament.

We will have copies of the tournament rules for everyone with a little more details at the game day. NO two armies will have duplicate Unique figures and it will be draft base at the tournament.

We are hoping this will encourage more ideas for further tournaments!
