I like that Run to the Hills can be built with just 1 ROTV and it seems to be very simple and balanced. No where to run, no where to hide, battles will happen quickly and often. Keep up the good work on your map designs.
Thanks for the feedback!

It seems like you place lava mainly in huge chunks... While it has its appeal it can be used much more effectively when more spread out. Just my

That really depends on how the lava is used. If lava is already on an undesirable location, no one will take the risk and it will be pretty useless. I usually build up large amounts of lava in one place on height, because I find it works best that way. How do you use lava differently?

I just realized that I played several games on Run to the Hills a while back. It was a nice map that felt pretty balanced.

Hi Shockma Ranyk. My local group of 'Scapers and I have played several great games on your map, Forges of Utgar. You'll be glad to hear it felt very balanced and I thoroughly enjoyed my games with it. We even recorded a battle report on it that I have since posted. Here it is if you're interested.
