Re: Madison, WI NHSD 2010

I'd prefer a lower point total like because I dislike going to the time limit, but 550 wouldn't be too bad.
I wouldn't be too opposed to allowing Marvel in this one, but I know I don't want any CG3. I'm still getting used to D2 so playtesting against or with another pool of new units might not be the best.

I can help out with maps if it's needed, and I also have a few I'd like to suggest if I could.

Okay, definitely no CG3.

Unless anyone has any better ideas,

Here's what I'm thinking right now:

500 points
24 hexes
And if I'm the person who has the say in this one:
no Marvel.

How about 550, use a least one DnD figure?

I don't like the DnD restriction. When we did 525 we seemed to almost never end games on time, so around that total sounds good to me, but it is your call, nukatha.

Most of the games did end on time.

No, they didn't. And if they did, why are you suggesting a higher point total?

:P

Re: Madison, WI NHSD 2010

Anyways, as dozens of people have pointed out before, the game seems to really like 500 points:

Case and point: Steamroller.

I think we'll do 500 on the dot this year, no marvel.

Okay, then what are you thinking for maps?

O, and you can add my brother to the list.

I can give the power of transportation for 5 maybe 6 people from Appleton to the Tourney.

Re: Madison, WI NHSD 2010

You can count on me being there, my brother and his kid will probably be there as well. I'll bring my wife but can't count on her actually playing (although it's a decent bet she will). Two of my good friends might be there as well but considering it's one of their birthday's they might bail. Summary: I'll bring as many people as I can, as little as 1 as many as 8.

500, no marvel sounds good to me, although my buddy will be dissapointed as he loves saying "HULK SMASH!"

EDIT - This will be my first tourny, so what's the deal? Do I just make a pre-built team from my collection and bring it along and use that for all of my matches or could I bring multiple teams based upon which map is to be played etc? (which I am NOT going to do but just wondering the about the typical rules)

Yes, you just bring a pre-built army, and use it for all your matches.

Hooray! this takes us to potentially 16 people, enough for prize support.
