This inspired me to use Dund in a 1000 point game. He managed to destroy Sonya and Tornak and place 3 wounds on Venom!

sorry to necro, but I've been gaining an interest in Dund ever since I found him under my bed after losing him a few years ago. Has anyone had success increasing dund's defense with thorgrim? with 6 dfs, he would be very hard to damage, so he could have more shots at crippling someone. Any other stat bonuses/synergy benefits that might work?

I definitely wouldn't put Thorgrim in the army for the sole purpose of putting his spirit on Dünd. If you already had Knights, then maybe I could see it, but I think usually it's more useful to move him into Raelin's aura. You don't want to spend too many order markers on Dünd, so he shouldn't be moving around much anyway, leaving him easily within the defense aura. The extra defense is very beneficial though because the longer he survives, the longer he is worrying the opponent with the possibility of a gaze.

Thorgrim is a bad idea on Dünd. Generally Thorgrim helps those more who have less defense and more life or a double shield ability. Crixus, Charos, and that C3V dwarf (the name slips my mind Atm) are all very good recipients of a defense boost.

Dünd finds his greatest help in the form of Agent Skahen and the Command Couriers. Raelin 1.0 is a good option if Dünd is not the only one who benefits from her aura in your army.

I intend to field Dünd the next time I face my cousin, as a counter to his Gladiator army. Three markers on the Capuans turn into a real bad initiative if Dünd manages his roll.

I suggest adding the new C3V heroes Elaria the Pale and/or Myrddin to enhance his managing.



When I build an army in Delta/Delta+,
it just feels right!

Glad Inspiration starts as the beginning of the round, so even if he dies or has his OM removed during that round, they still get the bonus.

You have to kill him to remove the bonus. (Or use the Xipita Glyph.)

I was afraid of that. It mentions if a marker was placed, not "Is on". In a way, I was checking the validity of said tactic. Many thanks!
