Okay, I think I got it now.

Those are some weird army selections and are the teams starting like 5 spaces away? I think your opponent will win mostly because using the hive in that situation is a serious waste of points.

Actually, they weren't that close. That was an older pic where the minions were right near em. Plus, why are they weird armies? Do you play themed armies or something?

They aren't the best armies as far as how well they work together, but I'd definitely say that your opponent picked the worse of the two. Wow. I mean he has Sonya without Cyprien. Seems to me like he chose his army based almost solely off how cool he thought the individual units looked (although I probably did the same thing when I first started). You have a bit more of a plan it seems with the Stingers and the Hive, but I'd say that you should've gotten a lot more Marro squads. The Hive is to expensive to only use it with one squad of Stingers. Cyprien is basically a one man army so he'll be pretty useful, but still those 150 points should've been spent on Drones, Drudges, and more Stingers. And instead of getting the Minions, I would've gotten a large hero that could go against Grimnak without having to worry about Chomp. The Stingers are the only units you have that can go against the Orc without getting munched; I'd definitely use them to take Grimnak down.

Actually, Sonya is a pretty decent unit on her own. I mean, a 3/3 unit with flying and life drain for 45 points? That's not half bad.

Yeah I guess I forgot those abilities. But still, her main goal is to boost Cyprien. I would've gotten MacCreech and Otanashi instead. He'd have a decent little ranged unit, plus a unit who gets extra attack dice when attacking the Stingers (they're wild right?).

Well, I'll have to think where to start on such a huge post...Well, we drafted armies and he didn't want Cyprien to get sonya's bonus. I chose the minions BEFORE Cyprien. When he got sonya I went for a different strategy. Which I suppose was stupid. But, anyway. I'm ready to send the report in. So vote quickly!

Well, no one voted. But, It'll still be fun to see how it happened right? Yes it will. Round 1: Well Grimnak uses 2 of his turns to get to my stingers. ALL of my stingers seriously! But I move up with Cyprien and avenge my Marro brothers. Well, that's my three turns. Round 2: Unfortunately, Cyprien didn't know what was waiting for him. Suddenly, something huge comes from nowhere. The huge beast catches him by suprise. He let his gaurd down, and regretted it. Sonya on the other hand stays back and gets a glyph. I thought, "Darn. My stingers and Cyprien are already dead, what more could he do? My Minions swoop in on Wo-Sa-Ga. They fight, armed with their powerful stikes, and heavy defenses. The beast survives their attacks for a while. But, evetually the minions' blows get too strong for even the mightiest beasts to bear. After all the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Round 3: First up is Isamu. He moves over to get a glyph. Of course, I get the glyph I needed most. Next, I use my hive to bring back my stingers. I would've gotten some stingers back. But, the card said 13 or higher, not 1. Then my opponent sends in his gladiator. I hate that net of his, he took out all of my minions but one! He was lucky that was my Retiarius 'cause if it was his I'd've thrown it out the window.
Round 4: My Minion hits Retiarius and gives him 2 wounds. Isamu sees it all from the bushes. Yet he doesn't even help the minion at all. What could he be doing?
He heads to another part of the thick jungle. There he senses something, something special. He climbs over there and gets. A glyph of gerda. How lucky! He tried to use Retiarius to kill a minion but has no effect. Gurei-Oni goes up to steal my glyph from Isamu and succeeds. Round 5: The Hive uses up all of my turns but manages to rebirth a single stinger. The stinger moves up to confront Gurei-Oni. But, the Cyclops manages to use his power to kill the newborn marro. He then runs up to the hive. He kills it too! I hope my minion is enough. Round 6: My minion makes a stand. He inflicts 3 wounds on Gurei-Oni and another wound on Retiarius. I was sure I had triumphed. But, apparently A mighty gladiator and a huge ogre coming at him from both sides was too much for him to bear. I had failed. By the way. To this day, Sonya is still at the bottom of that pit, waiting to be resqued.
