Re: Sports: NFL
Caught about the last ten minutes. Caught the big pass third down to Golden Tate and the TD to go up 8. Caught the botched extra point (second of the game, apparently). Caught Green Bay's drive, including what I thought was a fumble recovery from the Lions that had me shouting "fall down! fall down!" at the Lions defender so loudly that it woke my wife up from a nap, only to see it overturned, then see Green Bay drive down for the TD. Caught street free agent Butler's awesome tip play to stop the 2 point conversion and preserve the lead (eyes misted up at this point). Saw the onside kick fly through Calvin's hands and get recovered by Green Bay with about 32 seconds left and broiled in SOL (Same Old Lions) rage. Saw Green Bay move well within range of their placekicker with 5 second left and would've bet $1,000 to anyone that the FG would've been an easy make (would've made the same bet if they had been at career long distance for Crosby, honestly). Almost died of shock when the FG was blocked (or did he just miss it? I'm still not even sure). Kept waiting for a flag to be thrown or it to be reviewed or for the universe to somehow screw us out of this one. Refreshed the score pages on major sports websites several times. Still not sure I believe it actually happened.

Re: Sports: NFL
I saw almost the entire game (well, kinda... I mean I was in the room and it was on). It seemed like everything was set up for about the most devastating loss a 1-7 team could possibly have, but then Crosby straight-up shanked the final kick. It was the perfect ending.

Re: Sports: NFL
I kept thinking they would somehow blow it as well. But they pulled it out.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Sports: NFL
It's funny about the Packers. My buddy Brian's 5 year-old just started liking them a few weeks ago and Brian's wife posted a picture on Facebook of their son in a Packers jersey. Being a Bears fan, I called him a bandwagon jumper onner. But 3 weeks later, it seems like he's been a huge help for the Bears because the Packers have lost the last 3 games.

That must be it.
Ronda gets KO'd and the Lions win in Green Bay. Is the sky still blue? Just saw the highlights. Wow, just wow. A cloud can change its semblance, yet retain its will With the intimacy of destruction, One knows what it is to be alive The empty sky holds no reflection, for sorrow - Eslo Rudkey |

Re: Sports: NFL
Also notable from yesterday, first time in NFL history that 6 Super Bowl winning Quarterbacks all lost on the same day: Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees. For the first time in over 2 years all three Florida teams (Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Miami) won on the same day; in the same time period they have all three lost on the same weekend 13 times! Ben Roethlisberger sets an NFL record for yards passing in a game by a back-up Quarterback (due to his injury the week before, he was only suited up for an emergency - which happened.)
All in all, a crazy weekend of football. EDIT: Did y'all see that sic flip from Antonio Brown? My first thought was "What is he doing?" My second, "Is there anything he can't do?" Re: Sports: NFL
Interesting stats!
How many active Superbowl winning QBs are there in the league right now? Is it just those 6, Big Ben, and Brady? Or am I forgetting someone? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

You've got a guy like Matt Hassleback in Indy who went and lost, but not that won. Of course, I'm not counting anyone who won as a backup QB or anything. (And I doubt Spidey's stat would count them either). C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Sports: NFL
The stat has me wondering how many times there have been *more* than eight active SB-winning quarterbacks in the league, because that seems like a lot. All the more impressive because of all the Lombardi trophies hoisted by Brady alone.
