I appreciate the help, both from Cav and Long. I guess I wasn't reading the intro post correctly. I was thinking that I had to attach a saved picture or something.

Now I just have to figure out how to keep the print spooling dialog from being superimposed on my map when it adds it to the PDF.

What do you mean by "spooling dialog"? If you mean the last page with "number of players" and such, then it is easy. When you print to PDF file, choose the range of page you print to NOT include the last page. For example, your map has 8 levels which take 2 pages. Together with the front page, you have 3 pages, numbered from 1 to 3. The last page with extra information is page 4. When you print, just print from page 1 to page 3.

It's the dialog generated by the PDF printer. The one that says now printing page 1...2...3...etc. It appears centered on the monitor, and when VS goes to grab the screenshot for the PDF, that dialog is centered on the map, thereby causing it to be in the finished PDF file.

I've tested using different PDF rendering devices. I've also tested printing other documents with the different PDF devices. This dialog is apparently genereated by VS. Here is a screenshot of the first page created showing the dialog over the map.



Again, I really appreciate the help.

Any ideas?

I do not know why the program does that. It did not in the past. I'll ask Zzzzz.

icebear77, I have asked Zzzzz, the creator of VirtualScape, and his answer is here.
In short, the best and fastest way to fix the problem is to render your map in 3D and print from the 3D screen. Let me know if it works .

That problem still occurs, but if I grab the dialog quick enough to drag it off the screen, it works fine. I just have to be quick.

You are welcome, icebear77 . However, based on Zzzzz's answer, it seems that he will not fix it in the near future. You may need to play ping-pong to increase your reflex and quickness .

I am having a problem. Please take into consideration that I am not the most computer savvy person in the world.

When I DL VS and extract the files like it tells me to it's in English. All has gone well in the world up to this point. The second time I start the program it's in french, and I have no idea why; nothing pops up and says anything is wrong. I have tried doing all this without extracting the files and it is in french to begin with.

After all that I thought that the DL buttons were backwards so This time I DLed the "french" one and it was still in french, so I retried the whole thing (with the English version) and nothing still.

I had that problem once... Try uninstalling and then reinstalling if nothing else works.
