Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
Okay. What if we gave Beast Stealth Leap and allowed him to use it after Negotiation or a Regular Attack? Then Beast could leap away after attacking.
EDIT: The only problem I have with this, though, is that Nightcrawler will probably have a very similar playstyle. |

Perhaps we can give Beast Stealth Leap, and for Negotiation, maybe he can use Stealth Leap if he removes the 'X' OM. While he might not remove the next OM for that figure, at least he wouldn't have totally wasted a turn and left himself in engaged if he removed the 'X' instead of a number. Even with that option, he might be more like 130 +/- Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you ...Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man TUTORIAL FOR RE-BASING FIGURES 3hrs 43mins 32secs = 1242nd of 8808 overall - 1988 Honolulu Marathon |

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
If Beast's cost gets lowered a bit, I don't think that's a bad thing. What if we changed Negotiation so that he could use the power and just not attack "the chosen figure"? That way he wouldn't have to sacrifice his own attack that turn (he could still go all whirlwind on some squaddies) and he could slow down an enemy hero at the same time.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
I added Superstrength to the first post for Beast since, according to this, he can lift 1 ton (which seems like a good cut off point for the power).

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
A good cut off point?! I would think "Superstrength" applies to anyone stronger than a normal human, right?

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
Well Captain America is stronger than a normal human. But he wasn't given it by the game's designers. So the question becomes how much stronger than a normal human at that point. 1 ton seems like an easy line to draw in the sand, IMO.

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
I think Captain America is officially defined as the "strongest a normal human can possibly be", i.e. the peak of "being human". I think that's why he didn't get it. But I would think someone that can lift 1900 pounds should still have superstrength, right?
Just looked up the world record... It's something like 1061 pounds. So roughly half a ton is the most a normal human has lifted. So wouldn't anything above technically be "superstrength"? Of course, this is just a side discussion as we both agree that Beast should have it... |

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
Well for game purposes, superstrength is defined loosely (very loosely) as someone who doesn't take falling damage and can more easily destroy destructible objects. At what strength level do such things kick in, I wonder? And maybe 1 ton is too high. There aren't that many heroes at all on the lists between Cap and the 1 ton lifters, though, so it's not an issue that's going to come up much (and a lot of the ones who did make the lists in between could only lift that much with their legs due to superspeed powers, so I think they wouldn't be included anyway).

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
Quote:
Is this just lifting it off the ground or Pressing it? In the Marvel Universes listing the characters I have and what they have on the link, they refer to the hero being able to press that weight. So Cap pressing 800lbs is a lot more impressive and reflective of Superstrength than some big fat guy struggling to get 1061lbs a couple inches off the ground. But like Bats said, there aren't too many guys rated between 800 lbs and 2000lbs to really make a difference. Yeah, it's one of those things that won't come up until we get to someone like ... Ajax.

Re: Beast C3G X-Men Master Set - Playtesting Phase
Oye - My work load this semester increased by two classes. In six months I'll be married and then kids will happen eventually. I'm starting to think we should literally pack the coming waves with as many iconic figures as possible, because this project has a finite shelf life.
