Hey, Cybely is coming but the army he's wanting to use we have none of, It is Kurrok, E. Elementalx5, F Elementalx5, and a W Elemental. Is it possible to borrow this many figures?

AREA CONTROL: 3 (or 4, depending on symmetricality) Glyphs of Brandar will be placed throughout each map. At the end of each round, players score 1 point for each of their figures occupying a Glyph of Brandar. At the end of the game (one team eliminated or time called), winner is player with most points (ties broken by partial card scoring).

CAPTURE THE FLAG: Each player will have a Glyph of Brandar to defend (located just outside their start zone). Players can win by ending a turn with one of their figures unengaged and on the opponent's Glyph.

HEAT OF BATTLE: Players will roll the D20 to see who places their first card's worth of units. The D20 roll winner can defer, if they choose. The player who places units second will have initiative for the first round. Players take turns placing a card's worth of units, unengaged, on an empty space. Squad figures must be placed adjacent to other friendly squad figures just placed. Battle begins after all units have been placed.

If you have 2 or more different cards of squad figures, do they all have to be placed adjacent or can they be separated by cards? If you had 4th Mass and 10th Reg, could 4th Mass be on one side of the map and 10th Reg on the other? Also, can heroes be placed anywhere on the map?

Adjacency is only per card. So it's your turn to go and you're going first, placing the first figures onto the map. You grab four 4th Mass figures and place them on the board, following the must-be-adjacent rules already mentioned. Your opponent chooses a squad card him or herself, following the same rules, but these figures can't be place directly adjacent to any enemy figures. It's your turn now, so you grab four more 4th (or some other squad) and these figures can go anywhere you want them to be on the map. They don't need to be adjacent to your prior figures already placed, and they can't go next to your opponent's. They merely have to be next to each other (not all directly, either...you can have them in, say, a line or row when put on the board).

As for Heroes, they are a sort of squad onto themselves, so they can go anywhere (as in, just like above: not required to be adjacent to what's already been placed, and can't go next to the enemy).

One more thing about Heat of Battle -- it's a real advantage to "out-card" your opponent during placement. Having more cards lets you either deny more spots on the map or lets you stall when placing key figures.
