The "DEFENSE" value in the Marvel templates I downloaded is too big and floods into the number box?

Are these the ones included with the MSE downloads or did you get them from a different source?


You can edit the positions of the number fields for the stats and, if necessary shrink the font to help them fit in the available space. If you need tips on how to do this, let me know.

I've had a few people report that - I think that you don't have the Arial Narrow font for some reason. You'll have to get it, or edit the template as mac suggested.

I didn't have Arial Narrow before and boy does it look different now - Especially bold keyword titles!

To get Admin Access, I right clicked the program icon in the task bar and selected run as admin.

I'm still trying to figure out designer credit.
1) If I paste the text in the suggested spots in the game and style files, MSE won't open HS
1b) Then I have to utilize my backups to set things back to the way they were. Going back in and deleting the pasted information still leads to HS not working in MSE
2) If I paste the text at the bottom of the document, MSE will open HS, but no changes seem apparent.
2b) If I then cut from the bottom and paste in the center, issue #1 happens

From MSE, I select open set and select any of my HS files and nothing. It's like pressing a button with no function attached to it.
If I try to create a new set, I can make cards for every game except Heroscape. When I click on the other games, the ok button is greyed out until I choose a card style. For HS there are no card styles visible to select so I cannot continue.

OK. At first I thought that maybe some spaces had been used instead of the tab key for the indentation. I tried that, but it didn't cause the same issue you describe. The files would open, but at worst, not everything would show on the screen.


I was able to replicate the issue you describe in one way. I added the .txt extension to the game file. When I did, I could not open any Heroscape card files. When I would try to create a new set, no Hersoscape styles would display. When you saved the file, did it add the extension or change the name in any way?

I recreated this at my parents and WordPad will only save if it changes the format. If it wasn't for the prompt, I wouldn't know. It otherwise looks the same.
How do you change the format back?
