The figure used for this unit is a Pathfinder figure from the Wrath of the Righteous set. Its name is Slime Demon.

Character Bio: The genetic experiments of Marr have many twisted results. Re-Tak-Shi is one of these experiments, a grotesque mix of viper and marro and swamp essence. She is often found using her warwitch magic to pop up in the midst of an army of drudge, her oozing swamp bolstering their attacks and defenses.

SWAMP OOZE
All land or water spaces within 1 space of Re-Tak-Shi that are no more than 5 levels above or below Re-Tak-Shi's base are considered swamp water spaces.

EMERGE FROM SWAMP
At the start of each round, before you place Order Markers, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 12-16, you may place Re-Tak-Shi on any empty water space or swamp space within 10 spaces. If you roll a 17 or higher, you may place her on any empty space within 10 spaces. If Re-Tak-Shi is engaged when she uses Emerge from Swamp, she will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

I've been waiting for a unit to make terrain into water - was inspiration for my Swamp/Greater Water Elemental. These units are now A units:
Marro Drudge
Microcorp Agents

Interesting that also affects opponent's powers. These wave makes draft games more interesting.

She doesn't give the drudge *that* much of a boost. Spending 80 points to make your 50-point drudge as good as 60-point stingers isn't really the world's best investment. Definitely not A-range.

While Drudge are the obvious combo, here's some other fun ones:
Marro Warriors (for Water Clone)
Water Elemental (we call this the SPLASHPAD)
Microcorp Agents

Also useful for negating lava field (but it works for your opponents too!)

Unfortunately both Tunnel powers have the same-level restriction which really negates her ability to help the Drudge/Water Eelmental’s movement. If you place her on height there’s no tunneling to her but obviously placing her on level 1 (which might not have any water spaces either) isn’t advantageous for much either.

Just sucks that 1/2 powers on the Drudge and WEs are worthless on 99% of tournament style maps.

The swamp reference in Emerge From Swamp refers to land tile Swamp right? Not swamp water. Making sure I'm reading that right.

Yes. Since swamp water is treated as water normally, Re-Tak-Shi can emerge from water, swamp water, or swamp (land).

I'm kinda surprised nobody has asked this yet. When RTS converts a land space to swamp water, does it retain its former level, or does it decrement to the level that a true physical swamp water tile would have in that position?

In other words, what should we pretend about the full-height land tile?
(a) It has been replaced by a normal zero-height swamp water tile.
(b) It has been replaced by an imaginary full-height swamp water tile.
(c) It has had a zero-height swamp water tile stacked on top of it.
