Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD'10

Hey guys,

I haven't gotten a chance to play since last NHSD, but I've been wanting to. If I'm not working that day, I'll show up this year again.

I hope we get to see you there.

Also, I added you to the Northern California Directory. Keep an eye on it for other local HS events.

RV, do you have enough spare glyphs to make 36 tokens? I can make some numbered tokens from plastic shrinky-dink material.
I have 24 made, I stickered unused Heroscape glyphs with numbers. 36 though? Aren't you ambitiously hopeful!

Oops. My math skills failed me last night. 16 + 10 = 36?

guys, this sounds like a blast, but unfortunately Max and I are going to be at a picnic in Marin on the 16th, if those plans fall apart, we'll come down!

RV,

Between the two of us, Killz & I can provide 'Riven'.

P.S. You have an extra "will" in the Glyph pool sentence in the OP.

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD'10

All fixed up in the OP. Thanks.

Also, I'd love to know from you maybes out there if you're actually going to be there. I need to choose another map or two and do some other prep if everyone who says they might come is coming. Only two and a half weeks to go!

Well, maybe I will, but still..
That actually is more of an argument against facing the army you brought, than for it, imo. I'd rather risk facing a very powerful army but have a chance to pull that very powerful army, than have a chance to draw an army with a built-in Death Star weakness put there because someone didn't want to chance facing the best army they could come up with. That fear doesn't balance the army pool, it weakens it. I say that if you think Q9, Hydra, Raelin, Rats x2 has the best chance to go 5-0 on the 16th, go ahead and bring it. I'm not pulling any punches with my army.

Re: Bay Area Brawl - NHSD'10

Now that my DK/Siege hit zone question has been cleared up, I can turn my attention back to the issue of facing your own army.

The issue at hand-if you face your own army, you are guaranteed a loss for that match (if you win your army loses, if your army wins, you lose). Some people think that is a chance you risk, some people think that is unfair to anyone who draws that match-up.

Opinions so far:
Okay with it-RoninValentina, Carnival Man
Against it-Killometer, tshill12, cmgames, Robotunit197
All or None-Grimfang

Does anyone else want to sound in on this?
