The Battle Field



The Castle





The Airborne got a free drop into the castle, but accomplished nothing.


Round 1
Nothing but movement

Round 2
1a)Intiative went to the defenders and the Deathstalkers promptly dispatched 2 of the AE.

1b)Next the remaining 2 AE tossed their grenades at Valguard and managed one wound but no dammage to the surrounding models.

2a-b)The Deathstalkers missed their chance to finish off the AE allowing them to take aim at Raelin and cause one wound.

3a-b)from atop the ramparts Syvarris took aim and knocked off another of the AE all the while DW9K moved closer to the east gate.


Round 3
1a-b)Initiative to the attackers, but the AE failed to cause any further dammage to Raelin before Syvarris took the last man down.

2a-3b)DW9K, the Gladiadatrons, and Blastatrons moved further into position as Syvarris waited for any to come within range.


Round 4
1a)Initiative to the attackers. DW9K gets within range of the east gate and inflicts one wound.

1b)The Deathstalkers, Raelin, and Valguard all exit the main gate to intercept the Gladiadatrons and Blastatrons.



2a-3b)The Blastatrons miss their attempt at the Deathstalkers and the east gate withstands another onslaught from DW9K.




Round 5
1a)Initiative to the attackers again. The Gladiadatrons activate the Glyph of Dagmar (init + but fail to cause any dammage to the Deathstalkers.

1b)The Deathstalkers retaliate and kill one Gladiadatron.

2a-3b)The Blastatrons take down a Deathstalker while they are tearing thru 2 Gladiadatrons. Forgotten in the mele is DW9K who causes 3 more wounds (4 total) to the east gate.


Round 6
1a)Init to the attackers (with the help of the glyph), but the Blastatrons fail to injur any Deathstalkers.

1b) Taking advantage the Deathstalkers take down the last Gladiadatron.

2a-3b) DW9K inflicts another wound (now 5) to the east gate, with a triple skull role from the Deathstalkers taking down another Blastatron.


Round 7
1a-b)Init to the attackers. Blastatrons continue their futile shooting at the Deathstalkers, but this time the DSs miss as well.



2a)DW9K takes two more notches out of the east gate (now 7 total) and can no longer be ignored.

2b)The Krav Agents take aim and with one shot take DW9K down eliminating the threat all together.



3a-b) Arubien Archers miss a chance at the Roman Archers while Valguard takes down another Blastatron.




Round 8
1a-b)Init attackers. The Blastatrons activate the Glyph of Astria (+1A) and take down another Deathstalker. But its too little too late as the last DS kills off the Blastatron and the Astria Glyph enhancement.

2a-3b)Arubian Archers activate the Glyph of Erland (summoning) and rip Valguard from the mele in front of the castle and inflict a wound. Valguard still disoriented flails uselessly.




Round 9
1a-b)Init Defenders. Valguard kills an Archer, but takes 2 wounds in return.

2a-3b)The archers take Valguard down while Spartacus gets the call to move out towards the castle.


Round 10
1a-3b) The Arubien Archers miss the Roman Archers, the Deathstalkers take down the last Blastatron, while Spartacus gets into it with the dogs.


Round 11
1a-3b) Init attackers. Spartacus kills the last Deathstalker, then causes 3 wounds to Raelin, while the Arubien Archers take down one Roman Archer (a devestating round for the defenders).


Round 12
1a-2b)Init Attackers. Spatacus kills Raelin while in return the Krav Agents wound him 3 times.

3a-b) The Roman archers take aim at another threat and Kill one Kazuke Samurai.


Round 13
1a-b)Init Attackers. Spartacus re-activated the A+1 glyph as the Roman Archers take out an Arubien Archer.

2a-3b)The Arubien Archers take down both remaining Roman Archers while the Krav Agents move to close the front gate.


Round 14
1a-3b)init attackers. Crixius gets the call to move in while the Agents in desperation are looking to activate Glyphs.



Good fortune falls upon the Defenders as the Glyph of Sturia (restoration) is activated and the Roman Archers + Valguard are restored, and nothing returns for the attackers.


Round 15
1a-3b)init attackers. The Arubien Archers immediately go to work and take down one of the restored Roman Archers while the Agents in the castle close the door.

CONTINUED:

Round 16
1a-b)Init Attackers. The Arubian Archers continue their onslaught and kill another Roman Archer, but vengeance is had by the lone remaining Roman Archer as he takes out the final Arubian Archer as his last comrad breathes his final breath.

2a-3b)Valguard activated the Glyph of Valda (+2M) as Crixus and Finn move towards the east gate.

Round 17
All movement.

Round 18
1a-b)NE-GOK-SA sets his sights on Valguard.



2a-3b) Crixus gets closer to the east gate as the Agents and Syvarris change positions within the castle.

Round 19
1a-2b)Init Atackers. NE-GOK-SA takes 2 notches out of Valguard, while the lone Roman Archer attempts to help, but misses the Marro Scum twice.

3a-b)Finn moves in closer to the east gate and Syvarris takes his perch in the now open East Gate.



Round 20
1a-b)Init Attckers. Valguard takes two more wounds at the hands of NE-GOK-SA, and Syvarris misses a chance at Spartacus.



2a-b)Spartacus moves off the +1A Glyph as he is now an easy shot for Syvarris, who promptly misses twice.

3a-b) Finn moves closer to the east gate. In a deperate move Valguard leaves combat with NE-GOK-SA and survives and charges the Kozuke Samirai on the +8I glyph, taking him out and now giving the defenders a fighting chance.



Round 21

1a-3b)Init attackers. Freed from combat NE-GOK-SA goes for the main gate, but causes no dammage. Syvarris' arrows fly true this time and take down Finn in two shots, but fails to wound Crixus.

Round 22
1a-b) Init attackers. Crixus moves in toward Syvarris and Valguard goes back after NE-GOK-SA.

2a-b) NE-GOK-SA causes 2 more wounds to Valguard as Syvarris finally gets thru Crixus' defenses.

3a-b)Crixus counters and causes 3 wounds to Syvarris as Valguard wiffs on his counter at NE-GOK-SA.

Round 23
1a-b)init Attackers. Crixus levels the death blow to Syvarris (5 skulls) giving no change for the Elf to defend himself.



2a-3b) NE-GOK-SA finishes off Valguard and fails again to crack the main gate.

Round 24

1a-b) Initiative defenders. The Agents close the East Gate leaving behind their fallen Elf comrad, just as Crixus arrives but does no dammage.

2a-b) The Agents climb the ramparts and inflct 2 wounds on Crixus below banging on the gate.

3a-b)NE-GOK-SA is fighting a losing battle with the main gate.

Round 25

1a-b)Init Defenders. The Agents miss Crixus allowing him a blow to the door inflicting it's 8th wound!

2a-3b) Crixus takes another wound at the hands of the Agents but then Activates the Glyph of Keldar (healing) and is revitalized.

Round 26

1a-3b)Init Attackers. Crixus bangs on the door with his new found strength, misses repeatedly, but so do the Agents in trying to stop him. The lone Roman Archer leaves his post to activate the Glyph of Astrio (+1A), giving new hope.

Round 27

1a-3b) Init Defenders. Crixus continues to hit the door with everything he has, but the 300 year old oak is proving his match. The Agents rain fire down on Crixus causing 4 then 1 more wound finishing the tenacious warrior off.

Round 28

1a-3b)Init Defenders. NE-GOK-SA is the lone attacker remaining and takes all the fire from the Agents in the tower, taking 3 wounds in the process.

Round 29

1a-3b) Init attackers. NE-GOK-SA makes a desparate move from the main gate and runs for the East Gate, but is easily taken down by the Agents in the Tower... falling next to his comrad Crixus.




Aftermath.

It was a bloody battle. Both sides took immense losses, and after the dust settled only 4 remained.



VICTORY TO THE DEFENDERS... but was it truly?
