Yeah, you're right. I could see it either way with a good d20 roll or two. Hmm. I'm not changing my vote though.

Lexi's army:
Crypt Guardian x2 (proxied), Sudema, Braxas, and Siiv (Somehow forgotten in the last post).


We played on a custom map without any glyphs.


The mummies move up.


A group of Resistance Fighters move to take the rock outcropping.


Siiv is shot dead before he can do anything (probably why he was forgotten).


More mariedians move up while Sudema retreats behind her guardians.


A fighter is turned to stone.


Another fighter falls to a Crypt Guardian.


Jarek Guy engages a Guardian wounding it.


The Mummy takes another wound.


Jarek Guy is turned to stone.


Another mariedian falls.


The Crypt Guardian is brought up to three wounds.


Two more fighters fall to the undead.


And another...


Cyprien flies in trying to slay the mummy queen.


Cyprien takes three wounds from a mummy on height.


The Vampire is turned to stone.


Two more fighters fall.


Sudema finally takes her first wound.


The Mummy Queen turns another mariedian to stone.


Sudema finally falls.


A fighter is killed by the remaining Crypt Guardians.


The final two mariedians fall.

Those mummies sure don't mess around--I can see the Mariedians' Attack of 2 doing little against 3 Defense + Tough.

Real hard to say on the next one, but I'm a Romans man at heart, so I'll go with TankyTeemo.

Have to say, after having them used against me a couple times and using them myself, they really are tough. Probably one of my favorite C3V/SoV units.

After a bit of a hiatus I'm back with more battle reports.

Predictions are 2-0 in favor of TankyTeemo.
Here are the results for the 10th battle:

TankyTeemo's Roman army:
Roman Legionnaires x4, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Azurite Warlord, Van Nessing and Marro Warriors.


Luke's Orc army:
Blade Gruts x2, Grimnack, Ornak, Arrow Gruts x3, Swog Rider x2 (Nerak providing a proxy), Krug and Isamu.

The gruts and romans advance from their start zones.




A grut uncovers the +8 initiative glyph.


The grut proceeds to be sniped by Van Nessing.


The Azurite Warlord lands on the glyph of summoning .


He chooses to summon Grimnack killing him instantly.


One of the advancing romans falls to blade grut.


The romans kill two orcs.


Reinforcing arrow gruts shoot at the legionaries killing one.


Another blade grut is slain.


Another grut is killed.


The Romans continue to slaughter orcs.


An engaging Krug smashes a roman.


Van Nessing fires at Krug.


Van Nessing proceeds to move adjacent to Krug inflicting another wound.


The vampire hunter becomes wounded.


The Azurite Warlord also receives another wound.


An arrow grut falls.


Van Nessing receives two more wounds.


Krug is brought up to 7 damage!


Krug Slays the Viper.


Krug falls!


The romans procees to engage Utgar's flag bearer inflicting two wounds.


Marcus takes three wounds while one of his soldiers falls.


Van Nessing finishes off Ornak.


The archers and swog riders move up and kill Van Nessing.


A swog falls.


Marcus and one of his soldiers succumb to the arrow gruts.


The romans take revenge on their fallen comrades kill a swog and an archer.


Another roman is shot.


The skirmish continues as more romans and orcs fall.












At this point Luke surrenders with four orcs and Isamu still remaining.

Luke's army will win. The Zettians can slow Eltahale and Q9 will have a jolly good time killing the stingers. The Minions are going to crush Q10 in a few turns, and finish off what Quigley didn't get. This is all assuming the dice roll well for Luke, however.

Q9 claims height killing two more stingers.

Eltahale engages Q9 inflicting two wounds.


Another of Utgar's kyrie is shot by a stinger.


Eltahale brings Q9 down to one health.


Engaging minions inflict a wound on Eltahale.
