A for an army at 250, I like the idea of x2 10th reg + KMA, or x2 Mass + Ae/(RoTV) Drake.
2x 10th + Marcus DG makes a great army also. At 250 there are a lot of good armies out there, and it goes to show that almost any unit can do really well. At the tournament, there were 2 hydra-based armies, though the older armies did better.

Actualy, Hydra+Raelin+MW sounds fun at 250

so does KoW x2 + Gilbert,

x4 Marro Drones/Dividers + MW, and

x4 Romans + MBS
, or x2 Romans plus Marcus and MBS.

EDIT:

what maps did you use?

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

We used one of my maps (I can post it here or wherever later if you want to see it) along with 2 other maps which I do not have virtual scape files for nor do I remember the exact layout.

And your armies all look like a lot of fun.

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

I can't make most of them, however.

Hmm...

How would people feel about having a draft pool?

I'd bring all of my units (I can store them all in three craft boxes and a gallon baggie)

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally perfer pre-made armies.

1) Security of knowing what you'll be playing
2) Not worrying about getting stuck with a less useful army
3) No confusion with mixig up pieces.

That's fine.

EDIT:

I have 1 RotV, 1 SotM, I BftU, 1 RtFF, 1 Marvel, and 1 FotA set.

If I tell you if I'm attending the club, I 'll bring any map that meets those requirments.

If you are coming, email petriesfg@gmail.com. That is the store owner's email, and he sends out notices to the other club members. Not only that, but he has cupons and discounts for preorders if you sign his member list.

The scenario I'm playtesting is self-contained. But I'm assuming there will be other games going on as mine's only three player.

Re: Colorado Springs Heroscape Club

Errr....not well, actually. I set up and waited for an hour and half and no one else showed. A few of the regulars had schedule conflicts and that was known in advance, but I was hoping for just one! Someone did show up...right after I tore down my build.

So the FLGS owner is going to move the start time up to 5:30 and we'll try again in a couple weeks, I think. I'll post here when I know. But it's no big deal, sometimes games don't go off.
