Colorado 2014 NHSD

It's October, and that means two things: lots of pink and lots of heroscape! This is the official thread for the Colorado tournament.

When: November 1st, 10-5ish (9 am setup)

Where: Enchanted Grounds

What Format: Bring Two, First Crack*. 450 Points (Marvel, C3G, and C3V Allowed)

Who: n00b (me), GeneralRolando, dok, kpucblek, Daniel, awesomeunleashed

Maps: Cage Match (n00b), Mayberry (dok), Fulcrum (GeneralRolando), Ice Thistle (kpucblek)

Prize Support: You Bring it

*Before each game, there will be a dice-off. The winner of the dice-off chooses first army choice or second army choice.
If the dice-off winner chooses to pick second, then the player with the first army choice can choose any of the four armies. If the dice-off winner chooses first army choice, they must pick one of their opponent's armies (not one of their own).
After the first pick is made, the other player may then choose from any of the other three armies. Note: If you win the dice-off and want to pick your own army, you must defer first pick to your opponent.

Provided we can plan quickly enough, I will be coming. I vote a pick your poison format with smallish armies. 450 perhaps?

I like the Pick your poison, and I think 450 would work well. Unless there's objections, we'll go with that.

Hey guys. I heard from n00b about this. I'm getting back in the loop.

So, I can make it for just the morning on the 25th. Probably about 2 games of 'scape. Daniel probably can't make it. So, it'll just be me. We have a last day of soccer season that day.

Honestly, the next Saturday (11/1) would be better for us. We could both make it for the whole day. But if he 25th is set in stone... It is what it is.

Btw, I like 450 points.

I hope we can get some more numbers.

For "pick your poison" do we just bring one army? Sorry guys, I kinda forget how pyp works.

It's the reverse of bring two. Two 450 point armies and you pick the one you want to fight. I Also think there are some other rules like can't use same units in your two armies but I'm not real worried about it.

Do you choose only from the Two you bring? Or do you pick from your opponent's?

You pick from the two your opponent brings. So you want both armies you bring to be as powerful as possible. There is a variant I believe that you pick from all 4 which mean your armies have to be strong but still be able to beat each other because it's possible for them to fight each other, but I think we should just do pick from your opponents two.
