Seattle - NHSD 2011

With our fellow Scapers coming up from Portland and Vancouver, WA we are almost at 20 players! and we haven't heard from too many of the regular Seattle Scapers .. so please spread the word and RSVP as we may need more map : )

Rÿchean has already pinged me for my address for official Prize Support, and I will be pulling some hard-to-find items from my treasure-horde of Scape as well.

Nomad and I have been play-testing maps, so we will have a decision on those soon .. and I will be posting the tournament format by the end of the week.

Here is a sample army using the 'Reinforcements' format.

I started with a Core army around 350-points, and then looked at what I could add for another 150-points from the list of approved figures (Power Ranking B or less). I built three armies of 500-points, all featuring the Core army base. After I had those three armies - they became my full list of reinforcements.

This will be fun . . . only a couple of weeks!

Nomad, Huskies16 and I playtested some more maps last night - and we are getting close to finalizing the battlefields for NHSD 2011. We will post them by the end of the week, but I can confirm that there will be FIVE maps and terrain features for tundra, lava, jungle, road and dungeon will be featured (no Castles, though some battlements and ladders).

Entry Fee:
There is NO entry fee, but players can voluntarily add to the prize support pool.

Player-Sponsored Support:
If players want to bring 1 Wave pack or heroscape product to the event, we will add it to the pool of Prize Support. Anyone contributing to the prize-pool will at least get something out of it.

Door Prizes:
The Organizers have arranged for some 'door prizes' to be chosen at random from the registered players.


NORTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIP: The Seattle and Vancouver Scapers have joined forces in the effort to bring our corner of the world closer together (and to provide more opportunities to Scape).

The NHSD for Seattle is on October 15.
The Portland/Vancouver event is November 5th.

The top three finishers in combined rankings for the two tournaments get an extra "valuable" prize furnished by the tournament organizers (more information on prizes to follow and 1st place gets a trophy!).

Well I'm a little out of the jurisdiction, but I'd like to register for this. I'd be one of the 4 possibles that Longy mentioned. With my admittance I'm very sure that master of disaster and wingman will also be attending.

I really like this format(a different twist) and will have to start giving it thought. In my initial thoughts there are 2 of the top army builds that aren't heavily affected by the format.

Time will tell and we'll see what happens, look forward to meeting new scapers and having a fun day !
