Re: Magic:The Gathering
I have enjoyed RTR pretty well. Been playing my Golgari deck since prerelease and it has been pretty boss. I have played in Standard format and Modern and it only has 2 losses. This has easily been one of the most fun sets I have played and my favorite since Shards. Maybe it has something to do with multicolored spells... Either way though I love it!

Re: Magic:The Gathering
Ive been running a W/U enchantment deck, consisting or hexproof and one drop creaturs, that I then enchant multiple times to give me insane card advantage.
Its hilarious, but Mizzium Mortars wrecks it. But hey, I get to use Bruna and actually win with her. |

Re: Magic:The Gathering
I have a limited card pool. With that said, I have 4 green miracles. 3 that give 4x+1/+1 counters, and 1 that gives +6/+6 trample and lure.
The deck is mostly quick creatures that hope they get miracled. C3G / HoF Ally My Customs: RPG / Fiction / Supers / Space Hulk Let's take your vision to pristine together. |

Re: Magic:The Gathering
Hrm, this thread gets bumped every once in a while.
I've started playing Standard at FNM for the first time since Tooth and Nail decks ran rampant back in Mirrodin block. I've been having a measure of success with a Green/White soulbond aggro deck that uses Silverblade Paladin and Wolfir Silverheart in conjunction with some ramp and Rancor to create large, impossible to deal with creatures within the first few turns of the game. I got 3rd last week, and split first/second the week before. I'm starting to rack up some store credit Selesnya charm is just such a powerful card. |

Re: Magic:The Gathering
I maindeck 2 Revenge of the Hunted in my Standard Jund. They are just great. During one game last week, I was down to literally two turns to live, and I miracled both of them back to back for the narrow win!

Re: Magic:The Gathering
BR Aggro has won the past two Standard GPs...looks like control is falling to the wayside. That's ok with me because I went with Rakdos for the pre-release & it's also a little cheaper to build a nice BR deck...for now.

Re: Magic:The Gathering
Well, im a Dimir player, but my playstyle is Boros beatdown. Which makes for really interesting decks when I make them.
Before RTR, I ran a Tezzeret/Unblockable deck that ran around equiping vault skirge, Invisible stalker, and tormented soul, and going agro based while surviving with the lifelink from vault skirge and sword of war and peace. |
