What the heck are .hsc files?
Sorry guys if this is a dumb question; I've been lurking around here for a couple of weeks recently and before that I used to occasionally hang around the previous site (heroscapehq, IIRC) and I have a question. I did look through the FAQ so if I missed it I apologise, and I couldn't locate a search function for the boards to see if anyone has asked this before.
Anyway, the question is this. Looking at the downloadable scenarios (many of which ROCK, btw) there are quite a few that download as .hsc files. Obviously this has something to do with Heroscape but what is it? I can't open them with any of my standard applications, is it one of the landscape creation programs out there? Thanks for any help forthcoming! After this I'll try and restrict my questions and comments to more valuable ones For the record, I used to play quite a but, up to about wave 4, then got sidetracked by other games/life for a while (even though I kept up to date with expansions etc in the meantime, I have everything currently out there except for wave 7) but now I'm back and raring to go. So, can anything point me in the direction of any good four player scenarios? I have 6 MS, 4 RTFF, 3 VW, 1 TT plus many, many additional tiles from the expansion sets. Thanks, Bob |

Thanks for the welcome! Like I mentioned above I'm not a total newb as I did used to hang out around the old site for a while but it's definitely good to be back - played an old scenario I downloaded from the old site 'Jungles Ruins Of Ghurtek' (or something very similar?) on Sunday evening and it was pretty cool; nice terrain setup and I went on to win, which always helps LOL
Some of the downloadable applications I've since checked out are extremely valuable, especially virtualscape and the Bixby spreadsheet - great stuff! |
