Heroscape Power Rankings: Complete?

I think the biggest opponents of the dwarves are actually the Knights of Weston.

If you put 4 Squads of Dwarves + Migol against 4 Squads of Knights + Gilbert the Knights would come out on top more often then not. This is of course all theoryscape. :P

Wow. Well put Aldin. That'd be an interesting match indeed. If Nilfheim comes out to deal with Q9, the Dwarves will end him, but the Knights will probably stonewall the Dwarves. Can Q9 kill Knights faster then Nilfheim icesharding Dwarves?

I'd pick the knights. They can lead out with the knights to ensure that the Dwarves don't get a free shot at Nilfheim. Once the Dwarves are thinned out or eliminated, throw what's left at Q9, and then let Nilfheim close and finish the job.

It's not a trivial fight because you have to keep your "knight screen" intact, but I'd favor the knights.

Well, this is a plum situation for repulsors. Like the previous fight, you'd generally lead with the knights, but now you're a lot less worried about protecting the start zone.

But replace Q9 with a non-soulborg ranged support, and suddenly the repulsors look pretty weak.

I maintain that the repulsors are good as a complement to knight and minion armies. Dwarf armies, too, for that matter.

What woudl be the point of that? I think it says a great deal that a new comer like KoF can review these rankings and appreciate them without knowing who spider is.

Power Rankings Update

I've been working on the Power Rankings for nearly two and a half years, and it's been fun, challenging, and engaging all at the same time. I've truly enjoyed updating the rankings, and I've also much appreciated the banter that goes back and forth here. However, my interest in continuing with the project has been waning, and I will no longer be the caretaker of the thread. This is not to say I will be leaving the Heroscape community. My current interests in Heroscape lie in attending tourneys and the camaraderie with other Scapers that comes with tourneys. I will still very much be active in this thread, but it will now be as an outside contributor. I still think this thread being maintained is a good thing for the community, and so I've decided to pass the torch along to another Scaper. When deciding to relinquish my duties here, picking a new person was really quite a simple choice. Some of you may have noticed there is a new moderator in this forum. This person is well respected in the Heroscape community, has great work ethic to keep up with the thread, and is one of the most knowledgable Scapers I know. He also is a good friend of mine and sees the game very similarly, so the thread will continue to follow the lead I set a few years ago. With much pleasure, I'm proud to announce Jexik as the new caretaker of the Power Rankings.

Jexik will be in here later to announce some of the changes he plans on making. The thread is entirely his now, but I'm certain he'll do a great job, and I'm confident he'll do better with it than I ever did. I'll still offer my input to him just as you have all offered your input to me, but the ultimate decisions will be his.

Thanks for following this thread. It's been a blast for me, and I look forward to seeing how the rankings will continue to develop

Thank you, spider_poison. These rankings have always been useful for tournaments in which I've played. Anyway, what do your NFL power rankings look like this year? Vikings vs. 4th Mass. . ., er, Patriots in the Superbowl?
