Counterstrike's (terrible) fanfics!

Yeah.. just tell me what you think... this monstrosity's about a grut called Sumak..

Wasted Intellect.

Orcs. The most pathetically stupid creatures in Valhalla... save for Krug, perhaps. How could one of these... beasts... become as intelligent as Sumak? He did not know... but from the fact that he unlike so many orcs, could read, he must have had some form of intelligence.

Only on the battlefield did Sumak get to use his gift of intellegence, he had once stood down four knights of Weston on his own, and lived to tell about it... it was simple really: only strike when they thought they had the upper hand. The fools would simply knock you down, and go into a lengthly speech about how unfit to live such a monster is... only to find they were missing their head.

For all his cunning, Sumak was not recognized as a hero... he was recognized as a pawn. A particularily strong pawn, but a pawn none the less... he didn't care. Sumak was more of a poet than a warrior really... perhaps that's why he so admired the viking Thorgrimm... who he was destined to meet on the battlefield...

As he marched, he could do nothing but think... 'why must we fight here, when it is obvious we'll lose?' The orcs had never beaten the vikings before, the obvious route was through the knights. Didn't Tornak understand that?

Obviously not, the comander had laughed off Sumak's advice... only now would he realize his mistake...

Now, as the vikings let out a terrifying roar, frightening even the raptor Tornak rode...

Now, as Finn plowed through the heavy gruts with the full feroucity of a mammoth.

Now, as Eldgrimm hopped onto Grimnaks steed, and before the great warrior knew what was happening, cut orc and beast down like a child snaps a twig.

Then again, Sumak must not have been without his own failings... he had charged to fight Thorgrimm mano-y-orco... A foolish mistake. He exchanged blow after blow with the mighty viking, managing only to dent his sheild... but Sumak was without a sheild of his own, and the viking cut through his blades like butter.

As he stared at the broken blades in disbelief, he thought of all he could've done... if anyone had ever listened, he could've used his mind to create weapons more powerful than the Deathwalkers... he could've made armor that would not crack... perhaps he could even have found a way home... none of that mattered now. Skorm, it hardly mattered then!

Even when Sumak was in Utgar's army, who had listen to him? His strategies could've ended the war long ago... it made no sense! As he felt Throgrimm's sword plunge into his chest, Sumak wondered... if he had been so intelligent... why did no one listen?

Finis.

Whew... that was hard... and still terrible...

Requests:
johnny139, James murphy; Marcus Decimus Gallus
Deadeyedan42, Eldgrim;

Currently working on: James Murphy

Nice. One must wonder how Eldgrim could take down Grimnak though.

True... really, he and Grimnak were the only heroes left, and I've always pictured him as Yoda-esque...

if you are going to do requests you should make them like this at the bottom of your first post.

Code:
Requests,
johnny139, James murphy; Marcus Decimuc Gallus
Deadeyedan42, Eldgrim; Minions of Utgar
thats how you do it!
P.S. I put my requests in threre so just copy-paste it and put code brackets on.

... on second thought, since I've got no ideas for Marcus, I'll try for the minions...

Undeserved Mercy

The members of the 1st Apollyon squadron had invented the most brilliant of games. It was simple really, one would throw a captured human into the air, and the others would see who could kill it first. The alleged 'airborne elites' (who were neither elite nor could they fly) were the best for this game, they would scream the best... "No, don't kill me, I have a wife and kids!!!"

... or maybe the Weston warriors were the best... those who fought for Jandar simply because the sentinals looked like their 'angels.' Piercing the armor could sometimes be a challenge, and then there were the cries of 'demon spawn,' and 'thing of evil.'

Speaking of the knights, Jandar seemed to have grown tired of the minions, sending Denrick to fight them... it should have been simple. He was just a particularily strong knight.

And so it came to be that a young minion by the name of Xaphan found himself lacking legs. In an act of arrogance, he had brutally killed many knights in a manner of intricate ways... an act that enraged Denrick, and lost Xaphan his legs.

The young demon, the fight long ended, his allies having already fled, knew his fate. That which he had done to so many, would now be done to him.

Sure enough, Denrick approached him, obviously with every intent of ending the demon's life. But when the knight arrived, he sheathed his sword and knelt down before Xaphan.

"You have wings, don't you?" with that, he turned to leave.

Xaphan snarled at the thought of Denrick's arrogance, and charged. The cost was to be struck to the ground again, still breathing. Denrick knelt beside the kyrie once more, and murmured, "The mercy you showed to none, I show to you."

Admittedly pathetic, but it was worth getting something done...

Not bad. Admittantly short, but what was there was really good.
