I never saw insects growing into a larger faction. I honestly never expected anything else for Ant Man to control, but then the Bees came along, which sprung ideas for other things. The insects would function as a swarm army if more were released. They can't be too powerful though, we're talking insects fighting superheroes here.

I designed the Bat Glider to act more like he does in the comics/games/movies where he sort of flies around from place to place very fast, that way you don't always have to get the Bat-Grapple. What I'm aiming for in the long run is choice, in general you will always want a ranged attack (batarangs), plus a movement boost (Bat-grapple), but perhaps in the future you might instead get Bat-glider for the Movement and Ice Bomb as your long ranged. It makes him feel a lot more like Batman, who has every gadget for any situation. - I need help making proxies for some custom figures if anyone could help me out. - Please PM me if you could help me out |

I really haven't taken the time to look at your Utility Glyphs yet, Smithy, so I will now:
ICE BOMB: For this one, I'm assuming you're trying to give Batman a way to immobilize the big hitters? An interesting concept, and I like how you balance it out with the 2 automatic shields. You're order of play is a little off though, as the figure would lose the marker as soon as their attacked and wouldn’t get the automatic shields. Also, I'm not sure if this goes against what you wanted, but stopping them from using powers makes sense too, so characters like Captain America or Baron Zemo can't still lead their teams. You might want to also throw a height limit on it. And where does the marker go when it's removed? With those thoughts in mind, here's a run at tweaking/editing:

BAT-CLAW: The name for this one seems off. A "Claw" makes me think of some sort of melee attack, but what you have works like a whip. Otherwise, I really like the idea, except that you seem to be trying to combine 2 glyphs that don't seem to mix well. I'd suggest separating it into 2 glyphs like this (I changed some numbers around to keep them different):

SHOCK PULSE GENERATOR: I like this one, and think it's cool to do an anti-android/cyborg glyph. I really don't have any criticism for this one, except I don't think the "place one wound marker on... or a figure adjacent to that figure" is needed, as it's a complexity that doesn't add much. I will take a shot at editing:

BAT-GLIDER: I love the Glide mechanic from Prowler, and I think it makes an awesome Utility Glyph. No changes I can think of, though I'd stick with the name "Bat-Glider". SMOKE PELLET: Pretty nice, it has good theme. Again, no changes here; I will make an editing run:

SEDATIVE: I gotta say, I really like this one. Simple, but conveys the theme strongly, and definitely seems like something Batman should have. I would kick it up to subtract 2 from the sedated figure's move number. Again, though, I'll touch-up the wording:

Thanks for the help, I'm awful with wording. If you could give your thoughts on the Line Launcher, that would be awesome. I really like the theme for that one, but I can't figure out what put in the text

I like how the sedative one will allow Batman to combat the insane bonding faction. Very useful for thematic Batman vs. Joker games.
The SPG would definitely be pretty cool to bring with you on a water heavy map or when facing a large android army. With that glyph in play I could see myself making Batman an honorary Avenger when they face off vs. Ultron. Going down into the sewers to hunt the Killer Croc would be fun too. Bat Glider is a nice alternative way to move about. The map layout would dictate which movement glyph to bring. Ice Bomb could be an interesting way to deal with some bonding duos. Freeze Bucky or Luke Cage and then focus on taking down the unfrozen half of the bonding duo first before freeing the frozen one. Might actually need to add some way for the frozen figure to break out on it's own after some time, similar to how figures with SS can break out of the Frost Giants special. I would actually have the frozen marker return to the glyph though instead of having it removed from the game. That way in larger battles you might want/need to use it more than once. Bat-Claw is the one I don't see myself using all that much. Spiderman can already pull people around at the same point total and stealing Glyphs is a role best left to thieves. ![]() I suppose I could stab it. Would stabbing it help? - Drax the Destroyer |

The Ice Bomb will definitely be able to be used more than once, Other people will be able to break their friendlies out by attacking them I also see use with it against Unique Squads, where taking down one temporarily will greatly reduce the usefulness of the others. Finally, it would keep your opponent from "putting all the eggs in one basket" by loading one hero with OMs. Here's my Idea
Glyph of Utility: Ice Bomb (Target Freeze) Equipment Glyph Start the game with one blue Frozen Marker on this card. Before attacking with this figure, you may use this Ice Bomb. Choose a figure within 3 clear sight spaces of this figure that is no more than 10 levels above or below this figure's base and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 12 or higher, place the Frozen Marker on the chosen figure's card. A figure with the Frozen Marker on its card may not move, attack, use any special powers on their card, or be moved by any special power on any Army Card or glyph. When a figure with the Frozen Marker on their card rolls defense dice, they add 2 automatic shields to whatever is rolled. After a figure with the Frozen Marker on its card is attacked or receives one or more wound, place the Frozen Marker onto this card. Figures with the Ice Resistance special power are not affected by Ice Bomb. - I need help making proxies for some custom figures if anyone could help me out. - Please PM me if you could help me out |

I see, so you could attack your own figure with a weak attack to free them. The two extra shields would help insure you don't actually injure your teammate while doing this.

Glad to help out, I'd really love to see you move forward with some of those.
I didn't know which way you wanted to go with the Ice Bomb on the "return to this card or be removed from the game" issue, so I just went with what seemed slightly more thematic for a "bomb". What you tweaked looks good. For the Line Launcher, here's an editing run: Glyph of Utility: Line Launcher (Line Movement) Equipment Glyph Instead of moving normally with this figure, you may use the Line Launcher by choosing a space within 8 straight line spaces of this figure that is no more than 2 levels above or below its base, and that is adjacent to a destructible object, obstacle, or space that is at least 2 levels higher than its height. Place this figure on the chosen space. When this figure uses the Line Launcher, it will not take any leaving engagement attacks. The Line Launcher may only be used once per round. Great looking repaint.
As for ideas, gotta have a come back to life or regeneration ability, SS and Flying. He's also the leader of the Guardians of the Globe, so maybe some kinda future synergy with them, or OM flex. C3G team making links. |
