I played a game last night where the "Rush Mimring in to get himself killed" strategy worked to my advantage. Mimring stayed on heights for a while, using his Fireline as covering fire for Krug to move in onto the central island. Once there, Krug engaged 9k and Mimring flew into enemy territory, backed by all of his life and the Glyph of Gerda. Mimring managed to take a few attacks at his enemies, and while they attacked back, a 4-Life Krug made his advance.

Over, the Beasts and the Archers performed well for me!

Darn the rules! It says from his front or his back space..it does not say both, which is the only way to arrive at the conclusion of 8x2 being the "right" way.

If the corresonding text next to the diagram is just going to be ignored, then why stop at 8x2? I mean there are 10 red lines there, he clearly should be able to fire in all directions like the diagram shows.

Now, now, Ryc! He hasn't played him for years, he says. Probably when he was experimenting with his brand new unit. Not all of us parse the text of the cards as though they were Holy Scripture. Except, of course, Kaemy 123.

I forgot that Orcs have disengage for countless games in the past. Nobody knew until I chose to take a disengagement strike. And they're not the only ones. As much as I immerse myself in the game, I still can't take it as life and death.

I have many fond memories of Mimring. chas was very cooperative early on in leaving me convenient lines of units to roast. Nowadays, when I play him, it's always a balancing act between the value of the bait and the danger of the trap.

We see on the picture that Fire Line can not affect 2 figures engaged with Mimring.
The rules in the MS3 say: "If one of your figure is engaged with one or more other figures, your figure may attack only those figures. "

So for example if Miming is engaged with 2 figures and a third figure is "in the fire line" of one of this 2 figures.
Can Mimring use Fire Line or not? Can Mimring attack multiples figures even if he's engaged with 2 figures or more or no?

Mimring may use Fire Line at any time. If he is engaged with one or more figures, he must start the fire line on a space occupied by one of the figures he is engaged with. Line-based special attacks are among a handful of special attacks that allow you to target an enemy figure you are not engaged with. Rhogar Dragonspine and the Vulcanmech Incendiborgs also have (much smaller) firelines. Characters like Sharwin Wildborn and the Blue Wyrmling also have special attacks that canpotentially affect figures they are not engaged with, even while they are engaged.

Well, you're basically targetting the figure you're engaged with and all the other figures in the line are affected. Kind of like an explosion attack...so you're not technically targetting the other figures.
