C3V Points & Rewards Thread
C3V POINTS & REWARDS THREAD

What is this Thread?

Any time Heroscapers do any form of playtesting for the C3V, they will receive C3V Reward Points (C3VRP), and are encouraged to keep a record of their C3VRP in this thread. C3VRP is used as a general rewards program for the C3V, both for members and the public.

HeroScapers may receive C3VRP by completing and sending in a playtesting sheet for the C3V that consists of at least 2 games with the test unit. When a report sheet is sent in, that HeroScaper immediately and automatically receives 1 C3VRP. Once you have some C3VRP, you are responsible to create a post in this thread in the following format:

DO NOT create more than one post in this form, instead you should edit your first post each time you receive or spend C3VRP. When you first create a post like the above, please PM the owner of this thread so that they may add your name and post in a link in the OP.

At this time, there are 3 ways to spend your C3VRP:
1) To start a design in the Inner Sanctum if you are a C3V member or Private Access Member (PAM). COSTS 2 C3VRP.
2) To get a private sneak peek at an upcoming unit. COSTS 10 C3VRP. To do this, post in this thread stating that you are "buying" a sneak peek (and update your points), then PM Viegon about your request.
3) To get a personal alternative card of a released C3V unit featuring a different sculpt. COSTS 5 C3VRP. To do this, post in this thread stating that you are "buying" an alternate card (and update your points), then PM doe138 or Xorlof with both the card you want altered and useable miniature pictures of your chosen miniature.

This post and the C3VRP may continue to expand and change over time as more rewards and ways of earning points are added.

UPDATE: Only playtest reports done for unreleased units (as of the date 8/7/2012) count towards C3VRP. All other testing done for units that are released at this date do NOT count for C3VRP.
UPDATE: C3VRP may now be spent to receive private sneak peeks at finished but unreleased C3V cards (costs 10 C3VRP).
UPDATE: C3VRP may now be spent to buy an alternate card of a released C3V unit (costs 5 C3VRP).

Okay, so the OP is the formal bit, he’s me explained it less formal-like.

The C3V is working to implement a points/reward system to be used for a multitude of things. The main priority is for designing in the Inner Sanctum by Inner Sanctum members and PAMs, as we have recently changed our rules to require our members to do playtesting before being able to design.

The reason we’re putting it out here in the public is twofold:
1) When a member gets into the Sanctum as a Private Access Member, they must first have C3VRP to design. But, we wanted them to be able to earn the points out here and then spend them in there, so they could spend more of their limited time designing rather then playtesting.
2) We have plans to later expand upon this points/reward system to reward those who do public playtesting for us.

So for now, this is mainly just a handy way for you guys to show off how much playtesting you’ve done, but this is just the structure and we’ll be working towards adding the decorations.

Also, no one is required to keep track of their points, but if you are hoping to become a PAM or want to save up for when these public reward concepts start getting implemented, it’s up to you to be responsible for it.
