Monster Mash - 500 pts, at least 350 large/huge.
Army: 2x Fen Hydra, 2x Axegrinders, Krug
Record: 3-2, 4th place.

Rolling Rumble, 555 pts - Bring two armies, dice off, choose from pool of four.
Army 1: 3x Axegrinders, Mogrimm, Migol, Darrak, Theracus, Isamu
Army 2: 3x Phantom knights, 3x Stingers, Cyprien, Otonashi
Record: 4-2, 4th place.

Spoiler Alert!

1. Vs. Chris
I won the roll and deferred. He chose his Nilfheim, Nicholas Esenwein, Marcu, and lots of Thralls. Not sure what the ratio was. I played the dwarves.
In the beginning, he sent out Nilfheim while Theracus carried Darrak to him. The axegrinders were able to get some key glyphs, and with some great rolls Darrrak managed to kill Nilfheim in a few turns. After that it was back and forth with the dwarves and the thralls. Nicholas stole the show, swooping around and healing while resurrecting thralls. Eventually the Axegrinders surrounded and killed him. (Win)

2. Vs. Krugmuffen
We came all the way to Columbus together only to play each other.
He won the roll, taking my PKs/Stingers/Cyp army. I played his Nilf, 3x Greenscales, Cyprien, Chainfighter, Isamu.
He opened with a couple of PKs, then flew his Cyprien into the middle of my start zone, snacking on some Greenscales. Nilfheim and my Cyprien were able to kill him. Then the stingers started rolling, and they killed Cyprien. It got too the point where I had Nilf with 5 wounds engaged with a PK, but able to land on Kelda (glyph) in one move. Knowing that he'd probably be killed by stingers on the next turn anyway, I took the attack, and... Nilf died. The stingers made short work of the remaining Greenscales and filler. (Loss)

3. Vs. Storm Shadow
I won the die roll, choosing my PKs/Stingers/Cyp army. He took one of his: Krug, 3x PKs, 2x Minions.
Some quarrels over glyphs at the beginning. Cyprien then landed next to Krug, rolled for Chilling Touch... He rolled a 20. The very angry Krug killed Cyprien and a Phantom swooped in to finish Krug. SS pushed forward with his PKs and Minions, killing all of my PKs and a good number of Stingers. In the end, however, the Stingers were able to kill the last couple of Minions and Phantoms. (Win)

4. Vs. Heroscaper2010
He won the die roll, playing his own 2x Hydras, Raelin, 3x Stingers, 1x Rats, Isamu. Naturally, I countered with dwarves.
Theracus carried Darrak towards the center, and the dwarves went for the glyphs, eventually contesting them from the stubborn rats. The hydras dealt fairly extensive damage before going down to the boosted dwarves. They had the move glyph, so they reached his start zone pretty fast with Mogrimm in tow. Some back and forth with the stingers and dwarves in his start zone. Eventually the dwarves won out. (Win)

5. Vs. Nirek
I think I won the roll; in either case I chose first. I played my PKs, Stingers, Cyprien. Not surprisingly, he fielded his Omnicron army, thus making Cyprien's touch rather lukewarm. Omegacron and lots of repulsors and snipers. Not sure how many of each.
Phantoms opened, Omnicrons taking potshots at them. We traded PKs and Snipers/Repulsors. He plopped Omega into some shadow, and he was rolling tons of defense, but I had one incredibly lucky Phantom on the wound glyph and he wouldn't die either. Once both of our ranks were thinned, both snipers and stingers took to the overhang/cliff on the edge of the map. I think I rolled for drain three times, two resulting in dead stingers. They did manage to kill Omega, who whiffed on defense. Once Cyprien came out there were a few Repulsors and a few Snipers left. Cyprien pulled through for the victory. (Win)

6. Vs. HS'10's cousin
He won the die roll, playing his rather potent AE, Marcus, MBS, NGS, 4x Romans. I played my 3x PKs, 3x Stingers, Cyprien, Otonashi.
He got first round drop and initiative. He chucked grenades into my start zone and completely decimated it. He killed two or three Phantoms and all but two of my Stingers. The PKs ended up killing the AE and a couple of Romans. MBS once successfully got paralyzing stare on a PK on the wound glyph, only to whiff. Once most of the PKs were gone, Cyprien came out and, being the jerkface that he is, had a field day snacking on Romans. Cyp killed a lot more than I could've hoped for - He won with a few romans and a lightly wounded Marcus. (Loss)

Heavily themed preset armies - a hero & squad figures that share physical characteristics with no filler. Armies are paired based on points, strengths, weaknesses, etc.

1. DW7k & 3x Zettian Infantry Vs. Mok & grinders - Johnnylama
Mok is a walking death machine! At the beginning, Deathwalker 7000 blew up, but only landed two wounds on Mok and killed a dwarf. The Zettian Infantry killed two more dwarves and put one more wound on Mok, but he pretty much plowed through them after that. (Loss)

2. TBR & 2x Eradicators Vs. Brave Arrow & 4x MRT - StormShadow
Both of our squaddies rushed to the high ground in the center of the map, but the Eradicators got there first and were able to roll lots of dice against the Mohicans. TBR teleported to the center and helped them take out Brave Arrow. He also teleported the rest of my units to the height in the center. The indians put up a good fight, and I lost a couple of Havechs to plasma surge, but I was eventually able to shoot down the rest of the Mohicans. (Win)

3. Mogrimm Forgehammer & 3x Dwarves Vs. Grimnak & 3x Heavy Gruts - Krugmuffen
Fast dwarves allowed me to get the jump on the heavies. Grimnak lumbered out and chomped a dwarf or two, but fearless advantage took him down. Mogrimm helped clear out some orcs. I lost several dwarves and Mogrimm gained three wounds, but once Chompy was down, the orcs were out of luck. (Win)

5. Skull Demon & 4x Death Knights of Valkrill Vs. Khosumet & 3x Anubian Wolves - Father of Julian
We went back and forth pretty quickly across this map, trading blows. I think that this matchup favored me because my units simply took dice from him and gave dice to me. With what dice he had, FOJ was pretty unlucky, and never got an awesome unleashed fury roll. He lost wolves without being able to do much about it. The Skull Demon and a couple of Death Knights killed Khosumet and finished the rest of the wolves. (Wiin)

6. Raelin II & 2x Sentinals Vs. Runa & 2x Minnions - TheAverageFan
At the beginning of the game, Runa flew into my cluster of Sentinels and Raelin in an attempt to get some lucky Mitonsoul rolls. She was not able to do so before being killed by Sentinels. In a couple of attacks, I lost one Sentinel and he lost one Minion. From then, neither of us particularly wanted to move and attack the other. We both turtled for a while, and eventually called the game. I won on points. (Win)

This tournament was a really fun time! I really enjoyed getting to play with the Zettian Infantry, Havech Eradicators, Skull Demon, and Death Knights as I haven't had much experience with those units. It was also fun to see Mok smash through stuff, even though I was on the receiving end of the smashing.

More fun than competitive. Defeated Axegrinders and Warforged/PKs. Should have defeated a Minion army, but Marcu and Isamu rocked me. Highlight of the day was a 9-skull attack on Mogrimm.

Second game came down to the last order marker when time was called: Q9 with height at long range shooting at the last PK to win on points -- but no luck. Third game infectedsloth's Heirloom annihilated us.
