This coupon code is good for $8 for a "regular" deck of cards, $10 for a "multi-purpose" deck of cards, with free shipping.

There is also another code: TWENTY4
This one gives any 4 items (from this selection) for $20, including free shipping. (good until Aug. 3). Playing cards (54 designs) are included on that list.

to Porkins for the other code though!

Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide shot selection!

Hey Grithog,

What program did you use to design your cards?

Re: Introducing new playing-card size cards

I used DrawPlus 4 and Paint.net, both free software. There are certainly better options, but I started it on the perfectly cheap, and didn't want to redevelop it.

I've ordered these at various times and different times have called for different zoom levels. I had a few cards left with my latest order so I thought I would do some zooming tests for everyone. Below is a picture of 5 cards from Artscow, each using different zoom options:

I have them arranged from smallest border in the top-left to largest border in the bottom right. The top-left is the "fit" zoom option, which is the current default at Artscow. Bottom-left is the "reset" zoom option, which was the old default when Grithog first posted them. And the other 3 are zoomed out 1, 2, and 3 steps from the "fit" setting as indicated.

My preference is "fit" since it has the thinnest border but still includes all of the text including the white text at the very bottom of the card. Having a smaller border makes the special power text just a smidge bigger and on some text-heavy cards that is helpful.

As you can see, if you zoom out 3 steps, you run the risk of going too far (there is a sliver of un-printed white card along the left edge) if Artscow doesn't get the card exactly centered.

So, if your preference is the same as mine, just drop the images onto the card building interface and leave them as-is--at least until Artscow changes things again.

Re: Introducing new playing-card size cards

Grithog,

I love your cards and have a full set which I use all the time. I was wondering if you have plans to ever make C3V/SoV or if anyone else is thinking of taking up Grithog's format for C3V/SoV? Mathguy did the other format in Artscow for those cards, and they are very nice, but I've always preferred Grithog's format and placement of each part of the card. Much easier to read and especially to see hit zones.

I haven't been involved in any of the custom stuff, so forgive my ignorance. But I'm looking at the C3V/ SoV Books of Index and I see 27 units listed. Is this the sum of the work to date?
If so, and someone can get me the original figure photos used to create the cards, I can pretty easily put my cards together.

There will be more, but that's all of them for now. Contact doe138--I bet he could give you the figure images.

How about you guys contact doe138 and get the images to Grithog? He's the one doing all the work; it would be nice to help him out.
