Yes, dok, but I only have so many functioning gray cells.

Specifically what I am toying with is bumping the limit up to 280, which would open the door to bringing many of the squads, but it would also still accomplish my goal of forcing players to represent the wave instead of just the one unit.

Thoughts? (Including those who might be there?)

The thread title here amused me, so I decided to pop in. I love reading what kinds of things people come up with for events, and this format is sure to bring in some very interesting armies. Wish I wasn't so far away.

Personally, I would like to see the number stay 230 or reworded to limit number of common squads to 2-3x (or maybe a space limit for common squads within the 24) and take the limitation off common heroes to allow more than 7x Thralls or (struggling to think of anymore common heroes). I think we would see more heroes and unique squads that normally wouldn't make it to a tournament.

My personal limit I use in home games is 250. This allows 5 45/50 point squads, 4 55/60 point squads and 3 65/70/75/80 point squads. I think it is great to limit 10th/4th to 3 squads and Stingers to 4, but allow horde squads (zombies/drones) to be 5. I would not have a limit of more that 275.

One thing the wave limit does is make bonding squads hard, as many times there is only one or even no heroes in the same wave as a bonding squad. But I guess it just means more stand alone heroes and squads which is fine.

I think it's just fine the way it is. Do a bunch of competitive builds spring to mind right off? No. Is this a really challenging format? Yes. Isn't that what we are all looking for, a challenge?

Ok. I think the common heroes will be fine, and the local fellers who will be suffering through this experiment seem positive so far.

Anyone who needs more than 7x Thralls should seek medical attention immediately.

@ D_S ~ May is way out there on the horizon of my plsnning schedule and it is going to be problematic for me, with closing out (unfurnishing) this apartment at APG, to move back to Jurzee, *BUT* I am hoping I can make to this event, so put me down as a Possible Attendee and i will elaborate and confirm as time permits and the date draws closer.

P.S. Interesting format, I love trying gnu units and strategems.
