Spring Scourge - West Chester, PA - March 17, 2012

There will be a $5 entry fee which will go towards prize support (most likely Games Keep store credit).

Format: We'll be using the Capture the Flag format from the Gencon event schedule, with a slight points adjustment:

Players bring a pre-drafted 480 point Heroscape army, no Marvel. Army size is limited to 24 hexes. Each player must also bring a Glyph of Brandar to defend. Players can win by ending a turn with one of their figures unengaged and on the opponent’s Glyph.

This format sounds cool, I've always wanted to do a game or so like that, but never got around to it.

West Chester is a long ways from my house, but I did attend Monster Mash in July, so I don't know if my dad would be willing to make the journey again. I'll see if I can make it.

I'd really like to come to another MARS event. I just wish that they could be a little closer!

My wife and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary that weekend.
Oh well, there will be other events.

@ SpidySox ~ Ahh, that's a bummer - but it increases my chance to finally win a MARS event (haha). Seriously, CONGRATULATIONS! It's best to keep Mrs. SpidySox happy in these situations, but I can't believe you got married on Saint Patrick's Day, you don't look Celtic... hehe. I almost got married on April 1st, if it would have fallen on a Saturday that year.

@ SqueegeeLuigi ~ GREAT! Hope to see you there. Tell you're dad that TGK is a lot easier to get to if you don't miss the exit and take the looooong way. And let him know that I'll try to help out in some way, if I can. He can call me.

@ TheEpic_brothers ~ Hope you guys can also make it. Whatever happened to the Tournament in Scotch Plains, that you were thinking about running in March? Could it still be a possibility for April or May?

@ Clan-C ~ Is there any 'Scaping going on in MD this weekend (1/21)? I haven't 'Scaped since MechaniCon. We're not going to NJ (too much random weirdness), probably just hanging out in APG or Bell Air. Otherwise, maybe I'll see you at Savage on 2/25.

@ Mad_W ~ Wooohooo... I will mark my calendar and plan on being there. I don't have any other previous entanglements of pressing engagements (at this time), which might interfer with my attendence, so let's hope it stays that way. &obtw: I think I'll work Allistair and the MacDirk Warriors into my army in honor of St. Pat's Day... BUT WHY 480 points?

The Scottish army in honor of the Irish saint? Is that allowed?

I wanted to go with a point total that I couldn't remember having before, and 480 was the first one that popped into my head. I'm sure I'll regret it as soon as I try to put together an army. That's what happened with the main event at Mechanicon too.

No, nothing going down. I had tried to put something together for this month, but Collectors Corner was booked solid.

Oh, too bad... then the random weirdness might send me back to Jurzee again. What's the adress for Collector's Corner? I could GPS or MapQuest it, in case I'm ever out that way. I was at the VW dealership in Falston last week and remembering the tourney you had just a few days after the Blizzard... was that in '09 or '10?

Well, actually, we didn't take a "long way" the last time we tried to get to TGK. We just missed about 4 exits, due to the lack of proper signs to tell us where to go (We used GoogleMaps, and still got confused!). Oh well, at least we got there.

Anyway, it would be great if you could be a help somehow. I'll have my dad call you.

@Mad_Wookiee: For the time being, my dad and I will be "possibles". We'll try to work something out. We really have nothing planned for March, so as far as I can tell, we'd be good. Just keep us as "possible".

@Epic_Bros:
Yeah, really, is there still a possibility of you guys having an event? Scotch Plains isn't too far of a drive from my house, so it would be great if you could have it.

OR... maybe they could come to Red Bank, if you plan another "Casual Gaming Day" for 6 - 10 players, instead of trying to gather 16 - 20 dedicated HeroScapers together for one of our MARS semi-official tournaments. Is that also a possibility?
