C3G STANDARD PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT (FROST GIANT)

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.

- Give a brief overview. It was almost close, but not close enough for the Frost Giants to feel right at 230.

Units: Frost Giant x2 (460), Iceman (150), Red Skull (Hasbro - 190) (800) vs. Hulk (Hasbro 370), Thor (430) (800)

Spoiler Alert!

Red Skull had about 4 shots with his Dust of Death to finish Thor at the end, but couldn’t do it. The Frost Giants missed all three of their rolls for Freezing Touch, limiting their risks of the rolls due to the difficulty of success and the fact that attacks from height seemed to make more sense. So Freezing Touch never came into play here except as a waste of time for the Giants. They did put 6 wounds on Hulk, but it wasn’t enough and Thor easily cleaned up after Hulk took out Iceman (who put the other two wounds on Hulk) and the first Frost Giant. Thor’s hammer put 2 wounds on the second Frost Giant fast, the Frost Giant failed a Freezing Touch roll, then Thor finished him off in melee before taking on Red Skull (and taking 4 wounds in the process). So far I’d say the Frost Giants underperformed for 230, but poor D20 rolls was part of that. We’ll see what test two brings!
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Thor wins Turn 2, Round 5 with 4 life left.

- What should be the unit's point value? 230 felt good here
- Give a brief overview. They took a lot more shots with Freezing Touch here – it helped that mid-level heroes don’t have attacks big enough to wipe them out quickly, so they felt a bit more secure rolling for it. Also, when Professor X still has his X-Marker, it’s easier to roll than attack sometimes.

Spoiler Alert!

I rolled like crazy in this one and even healed a few times with Frost Giants and Iceman. Nothing screws up an X-Men army like freezing a Professor X with all the Order Markers for the round in a block of ice! It also takes Psychic Defense X out of play, making it easier to kill the Mutants who remain. Magneto went in first and did some damage, namely a wound on Prof X, a wound on Iceman, 3 wounds on Cyclops, and killing Beast (who was killing him with Negotiations). Then the Frost Giants came in and over the course of a few rounds froze Prof X to death with three end of round skulls. They also took out Angel, put 2 wounds on Iceman (he healed 2 wounds over the course of the game), finished Cyclops, and put three wounds on Jean Grey for a really close, hard fought match.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Jean Grey with 1 life and Iceman with 1 wound frozen in an Ice Rock win on Turn 2, Round 15.

Yep. If I only had my tests, I'd suggest a 10 point drop in cost, but I think with the combination of your tests and mine, I'd have to see a few more bad performances to recommend a drop in cost. So far so good and one to go.

I'm hoping to test these guys this afternoon before I leave for school. I'm assuming they are double based. Is that correct?
