Vulcan is a bit more in your face - there isn't a lot of terrain here and it's hard to avoid losing some troops to the burn. I like this one for using terrain sets that I like together but rarely use.

Very, very nice. Your the first other person I've seen try that map combo (D&D+Marvel+VW). I took a run at it with Lava Fountains, but ultimately decided the lava-on-blockers concept worked better with more terrain (read: RotV). Visually, though, those three sets are great together.

New map with a bit more terrain than I usually use. It looks fantastic on the table though. It should be a challenging map for armies of all types - the ice will give everyone problems and there are a ton of LOS blockers.

Wow, that map looks great. I'll have to try the greater Ice elemental on that once I find a tundra set.

Still trying to stretch MS3 as far as it will go with one set. It's tough - there's just not that much terrain in the box. Still, I like this map for a tight skirmish with a lot of mobility.

Two neat maps, mad wookie! How did you come up with the names? Based on the "Dungeon" and "Underdark" feel, I suppose?

Both look great. BftU does look great with Jungle terrain. To me, it gives a dark foreboding feeling, and makes you think twice about entering the jungle/forest/castle...

Kaltengeist is German for Cold Spirit - I think it has sort of an Old World feel to it for some reason. Grendel is one of the monsters from Beowulf who lives in a cave in a swamp - seemed fitting for a combo dungeon/swamp map.

I really like the way it comes together on the table. It's not as distinct as VS makes it look - it blends nicely and conveys exactly that sense that you're describing.
