Heroscape in New York

Hi all
I'm Alberto, and I'm from Italy.
in my country it's available only the master set and nothing else.
I had to order from USA all the few expansions I have...

Next april, I'll be in New York for a week.
Do you know where I could find a good load of waves ?

Well, while you are there I would suggest Toy's r us. If you are able to you might be able to swing a deal with Sandra (house mouse) to ship the items where you are staying on your visit.

Hi, welcome to the site! One place I wouldn't try is Wal-Mart, since I've heard that they've apparently stopped carrying Heroscape.

My local Wal-Mart is still carrying plasti-crack (scape). Just not the Master set (right now).

Same here, my Walmart had Wave 3 the other day.

Well, if you mean you're coming to New York City to visit, there aren't too many places to buy Heroscape. We have no Wal-Marts here. The two Kmarts in Manhattan (250 West 34th St. and 770 Broadway) only had Rise of the Valkyrie and Swarm of the Marro Master Sets last time I looked. The Toys R Us in Times Square may have a better selection, but it will cost a little more since it's aimed at tourists like yourself. (Could still be cheaper than having Heroscape stuff mailed to Italy, though.) You could also try the comic store I used to work at, Forbidden Planet. They have Swarm of the Marro and Rise of the Valkyrie, but no waves. If you go there, tell them Ken sent you.

you could drive for 12 hours straight and STILL be in New York.

Here on Long Island, the sources are really Toys R Us, and some Target stores.

You are right
I'll be in manhattan , Upper west Side on Broadway, but I will move a lot visit the whole city as I can in just a week.
I have already located all the Toys R Us, they are in my target, even if they are more expansive but here in italy heroscape master set costs about 70 Euros ( 111 dollars) so I'm confident to make better deals there.
Anyway I fear that the big game stores have less staff than small fantasy/ RPG stores, so if someone knows some of them that sells waves I could have more luck there.
I already have Marrow M. set, Tundra and Caslte, I'd need all waves and Road and Lava espansions.

but unfortunately they are far fron NY and I can not ship orders to hotel in few days.

What you do is make arrangements with Sandra beforehand and pay for your order before you leave Italy. Tell the hotel you're expecting packages and ask them to hold them for your arrival.

That should work and they will still be boxed and ready for you to carry home.
