Buying a Car Tutorial
If you play Marvel Heroscape, chances are you've noticed that a few people making customs have also added cars to the game (they go well with a city).
The problem is finding a car that is the correct scale. Some people have mentioned the scale is 1:32. Sadly, that's not quite accurate. The scale is slightly smaller than 1:32. I discovered this the hard way after spending money on a few 1:32 cars (the package even advertised a 1:32 scale). Here's the best way to scale. Try to look through the packaging and look at the inside seat. Try to imagine if someone slightly smaller than Captain America or Spider-Man could feasibly sit in the driver's seat. If the steering wheel is as big as Captain America or Spider-Man's torso, then the car is too big. Remember, Cap and Spidey are already slightly bigger than the average person. Also, the car should fit nicely on 3-5 hexes. One company that makes the correct scale is called Maisto. You can find their vehicles at your local WalMart or comparable department/toy stores. The cars should be less than 4 dollars each. EXAMPLES: Good scale car: ![]() Bad scale car: ![]() Against Lust: An online resource for men seeking to overcome lust and pornography |

Thanks for the info, this gives me ideas about toy cars I saw a week or so ago.

Also, I want to point out that a base often makes a figure look bigger than he actually is. The untrained eye may look at the two pictures I've posted and think that the white car is indeed, in proper scale. I assure you that it is not. The white car's steering wheel is bigger than Captain America's torso.

I believe 1:43 is the propper scale. 1:48 may also substitute.
These can likely be had cheaper on ebay or other surplus sites if you look around for them... http://www.sciplus.com/singleItem.cf...LogFrom=Search |

FYI...Corgi made a set of Batmobiles a couple of years back that are 1:43 scale that would make a nice addition for DC customs

Bat ... mobile ... ? I might have to make a card!
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Well, I'd leave the several to other people. Making one would be enough for me ... As soon as I pick one to buy. But figuring out movement for it will likely be tricky, as it's apt to be larger than a two hex item. And it wouldn't be enough fun if it were just a destructible item ...
