General Bases.

We all know and love the Castle set marked with the Jandar Flag, and it got me thinking about the other Generals. What bases would they have? A Valcano for Ugtar? how about a tree house for Ullar? or maby a sky scraper with an elivator (destructable object, perhaps?) in it for Vydar? The castle is all good and fair, but it really only represent one general! any thoughts, it would be nice to post here. ...Maby I'll practice what I preach and apptempt to make something of my own.

I would see Vydar as having a Lab type of "base" or Headquarters. Makeshift mind you, maybe deep into the hills of a rocky, half dead wasteland.

I would see Ullar having a very Pretty Castle, built into the tallest mountains in Valhalla near a waterfall. With grand trees that reach above the clouds

I would see Utgar having a Massive Black Castle-esque headquarters, very near or in the center of a dead forrest, with miles of molten wastland.

I would see Einar in a Temple on stilts in the middle of lake or bay with many, MANY ports.

My mind is the Pink Zippo that sits on top of a pack of Camel Wides.

Here's the character bio for the Einar Imperium on Heroscape.com. It includes a partial description of Einar's palace.

Quote:
Among the rolling hills of Lindesfarme lays the heart of Einarıs Empire, a gorgeous, gold-domed palace, built on the shimmering surface of Mirror Lake.
The splendor of that site is unmatched in all of Valhalla; the very air glows with the golden image reflected off the water.

A long bridge, lined with rows and rows of golden arches, leads out to the palace. Under each and every arch stand two bronze-skinned Kyrie, members of Einarıs elite Imperium.

Every member of the Imperium is loyal, disciplined, and altogether exceptional. They stand alert at their posts, their dual blades crossed upon their chests. Covering their faces are varied masks made from the same extraordinarily pure gold used in the building of the palace, mined from the nearby hills.

Enter the Valley unbidden and youıll find yourself quickly surrounded by an entire legion of these soldiers. Fail to turn back, and theyıll not hesitate to cut you down where you stand

I would like to see them put out more terrain/buildings specific to the different generals. I think a volcanic castle that is full of terror would be great for Utgar. A tree fort for Ullar would make the most sense to me. And for Vydar I see something with mech in mind that would actually fight back

Giant Battle Walker/Fortress thingy? with 4 separate legs that you must move one order marker at a time?

No it would have to be cooler and more blocky for it to work. Immagine a castle roughly 7 to 10 hexes long and about 5 to 7 hexes in width and then on each of the "corners" the tower or castle wall pieces would work as legs allowing the building to move. It could use the legs as an attack forcing a figure to either take a would or fall back as the castle advances.

Or it could have some high firepower built into it.

Or of course it could have both.

Hmm...that sounds a little more like an army card to me, instead of a destructable object...

I think the skyscraper would be a bit ridiculous for Vydar if the elevator were destructible. His troops could just destroy it then rain fire down on everyone.

I do like the idea of different bases for the different generals, though.

ok, how about a repairable destructable object? ...I guess not, since if putting a door back up takes longer then the whole game, then an elivator with all the gears and such would be beyond comprihension.

That looks like an Utgar Castle to me:

And this one would be nice for Ullar:

Or maybe this one:

For Vydar, something like this could be nice:

But maybe something like Area 51 would fit better.

When I think of Einar, I think of Japan and japanese castles like this one: >CLICK<

Even if they have also romans and greeks in their army.

Greetings from Germany
