Heavy Hitter or Mid-Level Hero Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 230-240
- Give a brief overview. His Special Attack allows him to attack the mark at a greater distance then his normal, even if he moved this turn, which gives him a good opportunity to get a few shots in before anybody can get close to him in these 1-on-1 matches. But he feels well balanced & still has the option to move & use normal attack to get height advantage.
Spoiler Alert!
TEST 1
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Superman (400)
(summary)This was just a test really to see if it was possible to stay away from Supes & hit him with the Special Attack. Superman cornered WS on turn 3 of round 1, but WS did manage to get 2 wounds on him before that. Two hits in turn 3 of round 1 & turn 1 of round 2 was all Supes needed to destroy Winter Soldier.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Superman (2 wounds - R2T1)
TEST 2
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units:v Batman (200)
(summary)This was a dance. WS tying to keep out of range of the Evasive Strike but couldn't use the Special Attack to it's full potential because of the constant moving. Batman edging closer herding WS into a corner with his ineffectual Batarangs. With the initiative win for the second round Batman finally engaged WS & put a wound on him. WS cool under pressure managed to 4 skulls on using his Special Attack, this time he didn't move so that was a massive 8 hits Bats had to defend against when he only rolled a 3 for Evasive Strike his meagre 2 shields wasn't enough to save him.

TEST 3
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Batman (200)
(summary)Batman was not toying around this time. WS with initiative put the first wound of the match on Bats in the 2nd turn with his Special Attack. Bats closing the distance threw his Batarang to score 3 unanswered hits. WS camped & rolled 2 skulls gaining the extra 2 but Bats' Evasive Strike kicked in (19) & turned his defense into attack. Bats put the final wound on WS with a 3-to-2 hit.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Batman (1 wound - R1T3)
TEST 4
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Batman (200)
(summary)Although the overall results of tests 2 & 3 seemed swingy, they didn't really feel like that, but felt as though it could have gone either way, so I thought I would try Bats again. This match played very similar to that of test 3, except the dice favoured Winter Soldier this time. WS camped, Bats flew at him flinging Batarangs as he could, WS scored 3 wounds with his SA in turn 2. Turn 3 WS moved & only rolled 1 with his SA, but Bats winged found his mark with 2 wounds on WS from the Batarang. It wasn't enough for Bats this time. Winter Soldier won initiative for round 2 & with height & his normal attack put the final wound on Batman who failed the Evasive Strike by only rolling 10.

TEST 5
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)

(summary)Really not much to say about this match that wasn't expected. Flash ran around, avoided attacks & kept peppering WS with his FFSA until he finally wore him down.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Flash (0 wounds - R2T1)
TEST 6
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Captain America (Hasbro) (220)
(summary)Don't sneeze or you might miss this one. Turn 2 WS missed a pot-shot, Cap's shield found it's mark for 2 wounds. WS steadied himself & rolled 3 skulls for 6 unanswered wounds on Caps. Game over! (Cap actually rolled 5 skulls on his defense - ouch.)
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Winter Soldier (2 wounds - R1T3)
TEST 7
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units:v Captain America (Hasbro) (220)
(summary)Not greatly different to the previous match but lasted a little longer. Winter Soldier got the first shot off again & failed to leave a mark. Cap threw his shield again but failed also. WS with height & his normal ranged attacked put 2 wounds on Cap. Cap failed another opportunity with his shield, WS managed a flesh wound with his Special Attack. Cap finally engages WS bloods his nose. Winter Soldier tires of the ordeal & finishes Captain America off with his Special Attack.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Winter Soldier (1 wound - R2T1)
TEST 8

(summary)You blink & the game is over. Winter Soldier moves, so does Hawkgirl. Winter soldier attacks Hawkgirl defends. Hawkgirl moves. Winter Soldier attacks with his special & rolls 3 skulls plus 3, Hawkgirl rolls 5 skulls, she's dead.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Winter Soldier (0 wounds R1T3)
TEST 9
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Hawkgirl (225)
(summary)Ok, lets try that again. Hawkgirl moves WS attacks with height, 1 wound. Hawkgirl swoops twice & misses both times. Winter Soldier attacks with his SA & rolls 3 skulls, Hawkgirl only rolls 2 shields - dead.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Winter Soldier (0 wounds R1T2)
TEST 10
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: v Iron Fist (260)
(summary)At the beginning of this match I thought it was going to be fairly balanced but once Iron fist got him engaged it was a only a matter of time.
WS put 2 wounds on IF with his special without the bonus. IF moves closer & heals. WS misses. IF engages & puts 2 wounds on WS. Next round IF puts another 2 wounds on WS & heals for 1. WS fails to land a punch entire round & IF misses for the remaining 2 turns. Turn 1 round 3 IF lays 4 skulls down & WS goes 1 better with 5 skulls, what a crappy defense.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Iron Fist (0 wounds, 2 healed wounds - R3T1)

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 220
- Give a brief overview. Skrull Warriors just didn't have the fire power or movement required. If it had been a 3 man squad the story would have been different.
One issue that I thought of that may arrise (it didn't with me as these matches weren't that involved but higher point matches) in squads where the figures are the same sculpt it could get difficult to remember which is the mark.

Units: Skrull Warriors x2 (220)

Squad Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 200

Army Test
- Does it pass, Yes or No? Yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 220-230 didn't feel off
- Give a brief overview. F4 worked beautifully together as normal, as expected. Winter Soldier thought he was doing the right thing it just didn't pay off in the end, unlike the Human Torches perfectly timed Super Nova. Winter Soldier's extra movement when the Mark reveals his OM is cool & gives more of a hunting feel to him. Unlike against the 1-on-1's & the squads where he was alone & his best bet was to camp.
Map: Odin's Colosseum (walls removed)
Units: Team 1: Winter Soldier (230), Kingpin (220), Bullseye (175), Elektra (170), Hand Ninja x2+1 (198.3)
Team 2: The Thing (325), Mister Fantastic (235), Human Torch (225), Invisible Woman (215)
Spoiler Alert!
(summary)
Winter Soldier names Mr Fantastic as his Mark. F4 won initiative & Mr Fantastic rolls 12 for Fantastic Leader, moving Thing, Invisible Woman & himself forward. Hand Ninja reveal OM & Winter Soldier takes a turn hitting Mr Fantastic for 1 wound with his normal attack from height. Hand Ninja move out. Mr Fantastic rolls 7 for Fantastic Leader, Human Torch moves up & destroys a Hand Ninja at range. Mr Fantastic fails his attack on a Hand Ninja. Bullseye takes a turn on the Hand Ninja OM but misses Mr Fantastic. 3 Hand Ninja fail their attacks on Mr Fantastic. Mr Fantastic rolls 14 for Fantastic Leader. Invisible Woman with height takes out a Hand Ninja. Human Torch whiffs his attack on a Hand Ninja. Mr Fantastic engages both Bullseye & Winter Soldier, but his attack fended off by Winter Soldier. On Kingpins OM, Winter Soldier scores 2 wounds on Mr Fantastic using his Special Attack. Kingpin moves forward.
Hand Ninja's OM & Winter Soldier fails his attack on Mr Fantastic as do 2 Ninja on Invisible Woman but one wounds her for 1. Mr Fantastic rolls 14 for Fantastic Leader, Human Torch Flames On to destroy a Hand Ninja then then destroys another. Thing moves forward, Mr Fantastic returns the 2 wound hit on Winter Soldier. Elektra attacks Invisible Woman on the Hand Ninja OM but fails. One Hand Ninja puts another wound on Invisible Woman the other 2 fail. Mr Fantastic rolls 17 for Fantastic Leader, Human Torch flies down to engage Elektra & Bullseye taking a Leaving Engagement wound & destroying the Hand Ninja that wounded him with his Flame On. Human Torch goes Super Nova & rolls 4 skulls. Elektra takes 3 wounds, Bullseye takes 3 wounds, a Hand Ninja burns up, Winter Soldier whiffs & takes 4 wounds to be destroyed, Mr Fantastic takes 2 wounds & is also destroyed. Now I don't know if I played this right, but I reasoned that Mr Fantastic being dead his turn ends & therefore I couldn't take the other turn (from Fantastic Leader) with one of the other F4 team members - either way I doubt it would have changed the outcome much. Kingpins OM & both him & Elektra fails their attacks on Invisible Woman. Number 3 OM for the F4 was on Mr Fantastic so they miss a turn.
F4 win initiative & Thing Clobberin' Times Kingpin for 4 wounds. Hand Ninja OM & Elektra fails against Invisible Woman as does the Hand Ninja. Human Torch with height smashes Bullseye to oblivion when Bullseye whiffed his defense. Kingpins OM & Elektra fails yet again against Invisible Woman, however Kingpin managed to get in 3 wounds to finish her off. Thing puts the final nail in Kingpin's coffin. OM 3 was on Kingpin so they miss a turn.
F4 win Initiative, Thing ends Elektra's life, Hand Ninja fails a ranged attack on Human Torch, who engages the ninja & retaliates with 3 skulls to no shields game over.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team 2, F4 wins with The Thing (0 wounds) & Human Torch (1 wound) surviving.

- What should be the unit's point value? Hard to call.
- Give a brief overview. The bad guys wiped the floor with the Justice League. Kingpin's bonding put the early wins on the board that led to inevitable outcome. Winter Soldier took out his first mark but Superman finished him off before he make a difference to his second mark.

Scarecrow throws the gas the same place, Kingpin fails an attack on Manhunter. Wonder Woman lassos Kingpin but misses the attack. Thugs finish off Canary & Kingpin puts another 3 wounds on Wonder Woman. Canary had OM3 so they miss a turn.
Scarecrow throws the gas to affect Martian Manhunter & Wonder Woman but fails his attack on Manhunter. Kingpin is blocked by Wonder Woman. Superman is blocked by Kingpin. Lex moves up & tries his Kryptonite Blast against Superman, Wonder Woman & Kingpin - Kingpin was the only one to take a wound. Kingpin finishes off Wonder Woman. Manhunter is too afraid to move (maybe he sees fire). Absorbing Man moves forward. Kingpin takes a leaving engagement attack from Superman & puts a wound on Green Arrow from height. Green Arrow returns the favour & destroys Kingpin.
Manhunter puts 2 wounds on Lex. Absorbing Man swings his Ball & Chain but misses Manhunter & Lex. Green Arrow's exploding tips fail to do any damage on 2 Thugs or Scarecrow. Solomon Grundy moves forward. Green Arrow destroys 2 Thugs with his exploding arrows. Absorbing Man absorbs Lex's 7 defense but fails to wound Manhunter.
Solomon & Absorbing Man advance. Manhunter, Superman, & Flash retreat. Green Arrow puts 2 undefendable wounds on Absorbing Man with his skill shot. Lex tries his blast against Superman, Green Arrow, Batman, & Manhunter but only scores 1 wound against Green Arrow. Green Arrow fails to wound Absorbing Man.
Scarecrow throws his gas to affect Superman, Green Arrow, Batman, Flash & Manhunter, but fails an attack on Superman. Batman reveals an OM but is gripped by fear & can't take a turn, Winter Soldier moves forward 2 though. Absorbing Man destroys Manhunter. Green Arrow overcomes his fears & puts 1 wound on Absorbing man. Solomon moves closer. Flash also overcomes his fears & puts 1 wound on Scarcrow with his Fist Fussilade.
Superman has a swipe at Scarecrow & puts 2 wounds on him. Scarecrow throws his gas to affect Superman, Flash & Batman & puts 2 wounds on Flash. Green Arrow again fights off his fears but it must have taken all his energy as he has nothing left for his skill shot only rolling 1. Winter Soldier moves forward & uses his Special Attack to get range on Batman but misses. Superman griped by fear cannot take a turn. Solomon attacks Superman but his Man of Steel protects him.
Scarecrow throws his gas to again affect Superman, Flash & Batman but fails to wound Flash this time. Superman faces his fears & puts the final wound on Scarecrow. Winter Soldier lines up Batman with his Special Attack this time gaining the bonus, Batman has to defend against 6 hits & can only manage 1 shield. Winter Soldier goes into stasis after a successful mission. Green Arrow puts Absorbing Man down. Grundy puts 2 wounds on Superman, & blocks Superman's retaliation.
Winter Soldier is placed in the start zone & Flash is named as his mark.
Green Arrow puts a wound on Grundy. Lex puts a wound on Grundy, missing both Superman & Flash. Flash destroys a Thug & Grundy just laughs at the Fist Fussilade tapping him on the chest. Grundy touches up Superman for 1. Green Arrow puts the final wound on Grundy. Grundy rolls 15 - so close he can smell Supermans fear. Winter Soldier attacks his mark who is lucky enough to avoid the hit.
Grundy fails to revive again. Thugs let Black Mask move then one of them puts a wound on Flash but he dodges the other 2 Thugs' attacks. Superman from height deals 4 wounds to Winter Soldier. Grundy comes back to life in water adjacent Superman (& a Thug of course ). Winter shuffles around Superman to nullify the height advantage without breaking engagement but fails to do any damage. Green Arrow fails to harm Lex even with his skill shot reducing Lex's defense by 2. Lex attacks Flash who dodges. Superman attacks Winter Soldier who blocks.
Flash dodges Lex's attack again. Superman destroys Winter Soldier. Grundy puts another wound on Superman. Green Arrow whiffs when his Skill Shot hits 20!. Flash dodges Lex again & Superman puts a wound on Grundy.
Grundy fails to wound Man of Steel. Superman gives Grundy another wound. Black Mask takes a Leaving Engagement wound from Superman but Man of Steel saves any wounds on Superman. One Thug wounds Superman for 1, another misses, another succumbs to Black Masks motivation & the other Thug is fended off by Flash. Green Arrow does no damage to Lex. Black Mask puts the final wound on Superman. A Thug ends Flash's life due thanks to the proper motivation & height.
Last round Green Arrow wins initiative but rolls 1 for his skill shot. Green Arrow just can't wound Lex even with 2 more attempts. Lex couldn't wound Green Arrow, nor could Black Mask & a Thug, But the second Thug to try buried him.
