Re: VOTE: Marro Custom Contest

Ko-Gok-Ra "Swarm Override" looks the most fun to me. He gives the Marro some nice, cheaper, melee punch, but more importantly, takes some of the randomness out of the army, making for some more...

Re: Cincinnati General Wars Tournament Sat. 11/5/11

Just to clarify: Yogurt won't be coming. I and one other might be coming, but probably won't know until the day before (at least there's two of us so it won't mess with pairing people up).

Re: Cincinnati "Preset" Tournament Sat 7/16/11

Mooseman, Yogurt, and Nathaniel are definites unless some unforseen circumstances arrive (like Q9 obliterating my car or something like that).

Competitive Armies...For AMERICA!

Just finished an epic game with Mooseman and my cousin for the 4th o' July. In honor of the holiday, I made an all American army and managed to pull off a win. Your challenge: compose a 500-510 pt...

Re: Cincinnati "Reverse" Tournament Sat. 3/26/11

I'm in. Brother of Mooseman and Sister of Beowulf may also be coming.

Does anyone have some Drow they're not going to use? I'm looking at fielding several squads in my army, so if I could borrow...

Re: Heroscape Game Night Ideas!

Nice ideas! King of the Hill sounds like it could get quite chaotic near the end as players throw everything they've got into the fray.

I'm a fan of big battles, even though they take a long...

Re: no official but official house rule for jumping

Personally, I think the rules for climbing up and down are fine as they are, or did you mean jumping across a gap to a higher elevation on the other side? I would think that would require a higher...

Re: Desired New Terrain Features (summary, page 1)

I second the idea for a Soulborg factory. Maybe make all the DW common heroes that you can crank out of the factory, then release some Souborg drones to bond with them/enhance them.

As for units...

Re: no official but official house rule for jumping

You only count blanks(or glyphs for valkyrie dice, it won't work with original blue and red dice).

The odds are thus:
7+ move:Almost impossible to fail a 1 hex jump. For a 2 hex jump, 19%...

Re: no official but official house rule for jumping

The D20 rules you mention could work. The rules I use for jumping when playing DungeonScape are these:
When attempting to jump, roll a number of valkyrie/2nd edition dice equal to the figure's Move....

Re: Desired New Terrain Features (summary, page 1)

I second the idea for the Ziggurat.

Speaking of mountains, what would be really useful is some premade pillars of hexes, to save pieces when building tall things, like hills or walls.

Re: HeroScape Ragnarok:Rule add-ons for epic games!

If I could take HS more seriously, I would probably mess around with Height advantage, but to me, the fact that a Nagrub on height has an advantage over a towering dragon is half the fun:D

I like...

Could anyone tell me the origin of the Penguin with Machine Guns running joke? Is it just the banner on the side of the front page that links to HS Codex?
