Since I'm located in Cincinnati, and Wookie is located in Dayton, we'll be organizing all of this remotely and may need a little extra help setting up on the day of the event. The advantage to this situation, like NHSD Columbus in the past, is that we hope to continue the "whole state and beyond coming together" vibe.

Time: 10:00ish AM to 5ish PM

10:00-11:30 - Setup/Registration. We are driving in from out of town to set this up, so we can't set things up the night before or show up much earlier. We would appreciate extra hands to set up boards in the morning. The more hands, the more likely we can start on time!

Format:
4 round swiss with one game final, if necessary. Players bring four "booster packs" worth of figures and cards: a "booster pack" equals the exact figures sold in a Heroscape booster (Example: one squad of 10th Regiment of Foot + one squad of Wolves of Badru = one "booster pack.") Rotv or Sotm figures =3 "booster packs" each, meaning if you bring a set of those figures, you'll only bring 1 more "booster pack" worth of figures along with it. Large Hero packs or BftU = 2 "booster packs" worth of figures. Single squads such as Fyorlag Spiders count as 1/2 of a "booster pack." If you are not bringing a set of master set figures, one of your booster packs must consist of unique heroes.

These four packs will be pooled with your opponent's four packs creating an eight pack pool from which to draft. At least one pack must have uniques, but no duplication of unique pack is permitted.

Tournament is played in one hour rounds. The player who rolls highest drafts first and selects one card from the combined pool of cards. After the first selection, players alternate, drafting 2 cards per drafting turn. Players place units in their start zones as they draft them.

Entry fee/Prizes: There is no entry fee; however, Wookie is paying a fee to rent the space, so if you are inclined you could donate $5 or so to offset that cost. He and I will also provide some extra prizes for the prize table. If you also provide a prize for the prize table, you can pick out one at the end. The top player will pick from the prize table first, etc. Prizes can be anything...Heroscape related, other games, or even a gift certificate to somewhere. The venue is in an office park, and there are no retail stores within walking distance. If you want to contribute a prize, please make sure you bring one with you.

Need Extra Figures? Between the two of us, we have multiples of nearly everything. Let me know what you need (PM me so everyone doesn't know what you're bringing!), and if it is available we'll be happy to bring it for you to use!
