Tournament Details:

Rough Schedule
10am-11:00am: Registration, Map Setup
11:00am-4:00 pm: 4 Rounds of Games (Rolling Rumble this year)
4:00pm-6:00 pm: Paired 5th Round + Championship/Playoffs
6:00pm-7:00 pm: Teardown, Cleanup, and Prizes
(Last two years we were all done with games and cleanup by ~6pm)


Tournament Format: United Generals
Bring one army constructed under the following restrictions:

- Classic figures only (no marvel or customs)
- Choose 4 Army Cards (Each army card must be from a different general)
- No Point Limit
- 11 figure limit (no sitting of figures is allowed)
- You may only have one hero figure in your army that is 150 points or higher.
- If you have no large or huge hero figures in your army then you may choose a 5th general’s army card to use in your army.

Round Pairing:

Round Pairing: We will be using Rolling Rumble this year. Players will be paired at the beginning of the event. As players finish their games they will be paired, based on recent win/loss, with other players who have finished, so each game should be played to a reasonable conclusion. However, the Event Organizer may call a game at their discretion if it runs longer than a reasonable amount of time. (Players should pick a map that neither has played on if possible. If there are multiple maps, players should dice off to randomly pick a map)

EDIT: yes, large/huge restriction applies to bonus figure. The bonus figure must adhere to all the existing restrictions

Are 2+ copies of a common squad forbidden, even if they share an Army Card?

Fortunately, you have like 7 weeks :)

No they are not forbidden. You may have have 2+ copies of a common squad as long as your army remains within the 11 figure (no sitting figures) restriction. (Although the only 3+ copies of a common squad you could field would be DKs or Mezzos)

I've talked it up here and should be able to bring Captain Canuck, the ShogUn, Thor, possibly three assorted sons, friends, nephews or whatever and myself.

Put us down for four definites and three maybes. We'll get back to you on maps. I'm assuming any of the maps from GenCon would be ok.?

I would suggest Invasion instead of Vestige, and Dry Season instead of Common Ground, but yeah. ;)

Here is a copy of the FAQ from the OP as I think some people are missing it and it will help answer some of the questions:

Specifically to your question. You can have an uncommon hero in your army, but you cannot have multiple copies of an uncommon hero, because those require multiple army cards and you are only allowed one army card per general.

Common heroes (and squads) can be played off of one army card, so you can have as many of those that can fit under the figure restriction. (8x common hero + 3 other single figure army cards would be the max common hero army you could have)
