As some of you know, I started school about a week ago. At the time, I did not have a first period class, and I was kinda happy about that. I had three hard classes, and this free period would give me a chance to do some of the work. Or so I thought. It turns out my school has a strict "Every student must be in a class" policy. I was not aware of that policy until this morning. All of last week, I hung out in the guidance office with a fellow classmate that was in the same predicament I was in. I got to do a lot of my work, and also got to work on becoming more sociable. Me and her are pretty good friends now, but that's a story for another time.

This morning, I was sitting in the guidance office lobby with Taylor, doing homework and talking, when the principal walks in. He looks at me, looks at her, and decides that it would be simpler to yell at the guy and shock the girl into doing whatever he says. So he yells at me. I got quite an earful of school...

This year I will be in a Senior in High School. As a senior, I don't have to have a full schedule of classes. For this semester, I don't have a first period. I still have to take my brother and sister to school, however, and it would be stupid of me to try to take them to school, then to drive all the way back to my house, then drive all the way back to school. Not to mention expensive. So I will have an hour and a half of free time.

I'm sure the majority of this hour and a half will be filled with studying and homework, but I wanted to throw a little something else in there, something I have thought about doing for a long time.

I love TV shows. TV is one of the greatest things ever. They're a great form of entertainment, and I love to watch them. So I'm going to write my own Pilot for my own TV show. I've already started it, actually. It's a sitcom, based on a group of guys going through college together.

I don't expect it will...

I am, by nature, an introvert. A lone wolf. A private person. Unable to form significant relationships with other people. Those are all phrases my guidance counselor uses to describe me.

I have found out, from 17 years of living like that, that I don't particularly like it. I have friends, don't get me wrong. But they are few, and I have started to feel a... longing for contact with other people. While before, I was content to be by myself, to think and imagine and dream without the fear of judgement from my peers. But now I want to share my ideas. I want others to know what I think about, what I feel, what I dream. The only problem is my interpersonal skills. They are severely lacking, to say the least, which is kind of ironic, since my mom is a guidance counselor and my dad a preacher.

I decided that it would be best to just dive in, to put myself in an unfamiliar, uncomfortable situation involving other people. That was three days ago. ...
