Week @ Heroscapers, August 31
Now that the musings and ramblings of Gencon have slowed down and the rampant discussion regarding the new D&D Master Set has slowed (somewhat), as well, the crew of Week@HSers is back!
Image(s) of the Week:
DrinkMoreGuinness has brought us one of the most fantastic customs to ever grace this site. It's a little late in coming, but here's the accolades he so richly deserves. DMG's work in progress can be seen here.
Since it's been awhile since we've posted, we decided to go ahead and do two images for your viewing pleasure. So behold:
This image is brought to us by lordcragor. I do not think I have ever seen the Deathwalkers look more menacing.
Blog of the Week:
More in depth stuff from Jexik. Read about What Qualifies as a Mistake here. Jexik expounds on a quote offered up by spider_poison, and certainly brings some interesting thought to the question.
Scaper of the Week:
Doc_Savage is the latest Scaper of the week. Find out more about one of the founding custom creators on the site, and a really swell guy. (Yes, I did just say swell).
Week In Review:
To be fair, this really should be called the Month In Review as much has gone on since the last time we've posted to the front page. Of course, most of the news had to do with the recent announcement of a New Master Set and the (at last count) 11 threads talking about it. Many Gencon threads and discussions have gone on and now, looming on the horizon, we have National Heroscape Day on October 17th. Sign up for the event in your local area.

Uh, CoD...you can't be learned unless you are some form of mathematical equation, or an interesting tidbit of history.

That Hulk looks pretty badass, and I hate comics.

That is a truly amazing custom. The best I've seen here I think. No one can say that marvel doesn't fit in with classic Scape thematically anymore...
So where can I order me a custom Hulk the Barbarian Legionnaire? Great work, and great to see the Week at heroScapers back again. Thanks, Eric. |

Just to echo the others, that Green Scar Hulk is indeed one of the best custom figures I've ever seen in any minis game.

yeah, the deathwalkers LOOK menacing, but right next to them are the little omnicron robots which completely devastate them with a glance. Elephant<mouse anyone?

The ax looks familiar. Is it from battle beasts?
