D&D Heroscape aka Master Set 3
A new master set has been announced for Heroscape. It is fully compatible with standard heroscape but it has the D&D theme attached to it. There will be an official campaign in the set as well as some new rules and new glyphs.
This set was worked on by Jerry, Chris, and I and was playtested by all of the original playtesters. There will be some good new heroscape in this box.
The D&D theme brings something to the table that many heroscapers have tried to incorporate into the game for a long time - A dungeon crawl experience.

When you say new rules, are there going to be any changes to Heroscape rules? Any drastic or small changes that will affect gameplay as it is right now?

I'm skeptical about the figures themselves. But, at the same time, they are all new figures to me. Provided they are balanced like Classic Scape figures.
However, the terrain is very intriguing. |

Hoo boy, I really dislike the way that WOTC took Heroscape. I'm very happy to see that they'll be continuing HS, but I am very much against DnD. I think I'll pass on this set, but if I do get it, it will depend on the price and the terrain.

Looks cool. The Boxart seems a little darker and eviler than the other Master Sets though.
Anyways, this wave seems to be pretty interesting so far... ~Anthasu1 |

D&D Heroscape? Heresy!
On the business side, kudos to WTOC for merging their IPs. This will certainly get more D&D players and FLGS' to carry 'Scape. |

I'm excited to see this set. It's one of the reasons I started collecting/playing Heroscape in the first place - the Medieval flair. It concerns me a tad that Wotc might take the whole thing down the DND road, and start leaving out non-DND features of it (soulbourgs, romans, etc.) On the flip side, it could also open up a bigger playfield getting the DND players interested in 'Scape.
Mixed feelings but more A+. Would highly recommend. |

So...truth.......I looked in the gallery and noticced something. Are you trying to tell us that these are not even NEW molds? they are basically reissued DnD pieces? come on?! WotC is severely half-arsing Heroscape. "O lets make money and not develop anything NEW since the time of Craig Van Ness...." cause wave 9 was left over from the old team right? This looks cool, I'll give it that. And I do like DnD but just plz don't say that this is going to be a habit of WotC in the future.....plz don't say that man.....

I noticed some solid black "water" tiles, any ideas? Maybe they are like bottomless pits or some kind of dark energy. I'm not a D&D fan so...
