Preparing for the online tournament is a rush! The house is full of excitement (and maps and armies and bins of terrain and order markers and wound markers....)

I’m not in the tournament, but my eldest son is. I didn’t’ think I’d have the time, and more importantly I didn’t think I was a competent player of Classic Scape. But I think I can brag that this week I have achieved the lowest level of competency!

It seems a strange thing to brag about. We have played our custom game for so long and I am very into that and how it keeps evolving. We’ve played Classic Scape off and on over the years and I thought I understood it, but that’s one thing I learned this week- that I didn’t really. It’s always refreshing to discover your own ignorance- it’s the first step in actually learning something. I certainly understand the game better now but I know I still have a lot to learn.
