This is where you can go to get started with C3G (Comics Customs Creators Guild): Welcome to C3G!!!

C3G WAVE 22

To celebrate the release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, C3G is celebrating all things cosmic with our newest wave - also featuring DC's Lanterns Corps!

BOOSTER #1 | GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Star-Lord is the leader of this ragtag team of alien misfits; his tactical prowess is second to none, and his good luck can get him out of any jam. Groot provides muscle, as well as transportation, for his allies - his pal Rocket Raccoon can keep the enemy at bay and blast crowds into smithereens. It's tough to say whether Drax or Gamora is the deadliest member of the Guardians - while Drax is a killing machine, relentlessly pursuing his Nemesis, Gamora's martial arts skills and Godslayer sword can take down even the mightiest of enemies.

BOOSTER #2 | COSMIC MARVELS

Richard Rider - better known as Nova Prime - channels the might of the Nova Force, blowing away enemies and zooming across the battlefield in a flash. While he unleashes energy, Quasar absorbs it; her real claim to fame, however, is the incomparable power of the Quantum Bands she wields. They're sure to come in handy against Psycho-Man, whose powers of manipulation can instill Fear in the hearts of men - not to mention Doubt and Hate. Of course, all of these powers pale in the shadow of Vulcan, the power-mad emperor who not only wields energy but masters it.

BOOSTER #3 | WAR OF LIGHT

Darkness falls on the universe; Black Hand and the Black Lanterns are to blame! The power of his Black Hand can cripple even the mightiest Lanterns, but his true power is to act as harbinger of the endless ranks of the Black Lantern Corps. Larfleeze, the sole Orange Lantern, can probably face this threat - if his Greed doesn't get the better of him. Saint Walker of the Blue Lanterns heals ailing allies with the light of Hope, while Indigo-1 staves off enemies with Compassion and Star Sapphire fights ferociously for her Beloved.

BOOSTER #4 | LANTERN RECRUITS

Thankfully, the leaders of the Lantern Corps will not be fighting alone - the Star Sapphires of Zamaron strike hard and fast, trapping their enemies in crystals that can turn even the coldest of hearts to the cause of Love. But can they stand up to the near-immortal Black Lanterns? These twisted mockeries of life parade across the battlefield in swarms, hunting the living and converting them one by one to their ranks. The war of the universe begins - whose side are you on?

Once again, thanks to everyone who helped make this wave happen - our photographers, artists, designers, playtesters, and of course, our fans. We couldn't do it without you! Now take to the stars, draft your armies, and play some Heroscape!

The Guardians of the Galaxy in the picture are different than some on the cards. Is this intended?

If these are intended proxies, can we get the miniature info?

We didn't decide on which figure to use for Gamora until near the end - the one on the card is accurate to her time with the Guardians of the Galaxy, but the one in the picture is the more widely available one. So we changed figures after the picture was taken and figured it wasn't worth a whole reshoot.

If you look closely, the Rocket Raccoon and Groot figures are also different - the ones on the card are comic accurate, but those ones are a LOT easier to find. So I'd recommend you go with those.

I did notice that, right after I posted. Less expensive is good!

But a good rule of thumb in C3G in general is that proxies are king! Use the minis you have and want to use.

I took the pictures and didn't know which Gamora to use so I picked the cheaper one, I'm surprised to hear people say the one on the card is easier to find, I just looked and saw it selling for over $10. I used the movie versions of Groot and Rocket because I already had them and the official versions are also high dollar figures, Rocket is $10+ and Groot tops $30.

The release looks great. Its amazing that the C3G guys can still find interesting characters and fresh abilities with so many units already released.

1. Its an AWESOME MIX! But how will I build a giant Celestial head on my board?

(Edit) Now that I've printed the GGs out, I have to say the color palette used is one of the most vibrant I've ever seen on any Scape cards! And still they all go together and convey the deep majesty of outer space. How'd ya do that? Congratulations.

(Second Edit) ***Late Breaking News from New York City:*** These GGs, along with other teams, will be facing Thanos for all the marbles this Wednesday on the table! For more information after this occurs, see MARVEL MAPS AND SCENARIOS/ THE INFINITY GAUNTLET 2: THE MARCH OF CONQUEST. Special thanks to C3G for the excellent timing. (No Army Cards were injured in the production of this game).

(Third Edit) A pal says he's scored a Heroclix set of the GGs, which apparently contains all of these GGs plus Yondu!

2. I FEAR that I don't have the Psycho-Man mini, but I have no DOUBT I'll find a proxy and HATE the Good Guys I'm fighting with it!

3. Thanks for the Lanterns. You've inspired me to finally open up that Heroclix Blackest Night set I've had around for years! I sense a new campaign a-borning...

I really like Groot. I like negative powers. They make the game much more interesting.

Great job, as always. Now if only I could get more play time (sigh)

You guys may want to put a clarification note for powers that are affected by blanks on dice - I assume that is second edition (white) dice and not the original red attack or blue (defense) blue dice - correct?

Yes. C3G does not support the red attack or blue defense dice. Only the white dice, from the very beginning. After all, that's all Marvel Heroscape used, and Marvel Heroscape is what we're compatible with.
